1. The Blind Date with a Book Contest is still running! Come to the library, unwrap a mystery book, and use lines from the book to create your own found poem. Submit your poem by the end of the day tomorrow, February 27th for a chance to win one of two Amazon gift cards. Make sure your poem is original and, if possible, printed or displayed in a creative way. Drop in, get creative, and let a surprise-read spark something new! 

 2. Senior Boys Rugby will begin next week. Monday 4:00-6:00pm and Thursday 3-4:30pm 

3. Junior and Bantam boys' rugby will be Tuesday from 4:00-6pm and Thursday 4:30pm-6pm. Please grab a permission form by the male physed office and fill out the QR code. Any questions please talk to Doctor Denison-Hewko. 

4. If you are registered for the ACS England and France trip for March 2027, please check your school email and the trip D2L page for important updates about the trip. If you haven’t done so already, please see Mrs. McLaughlin on your lunch in room 2052 to pick up the mandatory permission form package. If you are not registered on the trip but are still interested in going, there are now only two spots left! Grab a flyer on the door of room 2052 or scan the QR on the LEAP bulletin board for more information or to register. 

5. Attention all students interested in playing Assumption Football for the 2026 season.  

6. There will be a mandatory meeting on February 27th at the beginning of all three lunch periods in the Lecture Hall. Please attend on your scheduled lunch break.  

7. Anyone planning to play Junior or Senior football in 2026 must attend. Thank you. 

8. Hey Lions, would you like to join our ACS Prefect Team? If so, bring your lunch & a friend to the Lecture Hall on Mon. March 2 during YOUR lunch to find out more about our ACS Prefect Program and how to join.  We only recruit ONCE per year, so don’t miss your chance. We look forward to meeting you! 

9. Lions, Why Not City Missions and the St Vincent De Paul  are offering a unique opportunity for you to help raise awareness and funds for homelessness in our community. “The Coldest Night of The Year” event is happening on February 28, and is a 5.2 Km walk that you can participate in. Please see the QR codes on the flyer posted near the main office. Thank you for walking to make a difference in the lives of those who need it! 

10. Attention grade nines and seniors! Faith and Fellowship is starting up again for the first time this semester! It is no longer something that only happens at senior lunch. There are now meetings being run during the grade nine lunch EVERY Friday! If you're in grade nine and want to grow deeper in your faith or be able to talk about real life problems, go to room 1004 THIS Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Peyton Hyttenrauch.  

11. Seniors! We are now in room 1008 during the senior lunch every Friday! This week we're sharing stories of things that God has done in your life. If you have any questions, please contact Brianna Cook. Come on out if you're in grade 9, 11, or 12.  Again, that's grade nines during grade nine lunch THIS Friday in room 1004, and seniors during senior lunch on Friday in room 1008. 

12. Business SHSM students – Please meet today in Room 2006 after school to begin your Stock Market Challenge.  This is for all Business SHSM students.  Meet today after school in Room 2006. 

13. HUGE thank you to our Latino Club members this week — WOW. You brought the energy.  The rhythm. The commitment. You didn’t just participate — you OWNED it. This is what community looks like! 

14. The French club will be meeting today after school in room 2005.  Don’t miss this fun event! 

15. Attention graduating students!  Come and meet your valedictorian candidates!  Their essays are posted outside of the main office.  The vote is March 5th. 

16. Today's special in the servery will be Pulled pork on a bun topped with onions or mozzarella cheese for $6.85 add a bit of fries $7.65. Cinnamon buns at break which today will be at 11:00 am
