1. It’s Catholic Education week and we have a homeroom challenge under way. Remember to bring in your hygiene products to help those in need in our community. The class with the most donated items, will win DONUTS!!!! The Social Justice class will be around on Friday May 8 to collect the items. Thank you for your contributions!
2. Attention students applying for the Lion/Letter Award. Today is the last day to pick up your status sheet of academic marks and or the optional community service sheet. The librarians will not be giving these sheets out after today. Don’t forget to photocopy your student card for the application.
3. Attention Grade 12 students! Today is the final deadline to pay for the Grad retreat. Enjoy a day outdoors at camp Marydale with your friends and a barbeque lunch. The deadline to pay online is tonight at midnight. See the poster outside of the chaplain’s office for more details and a permission form.
4. A reminder to all Simba Award Nominees that our celebration will take place this Thursday morning at 8am in the Lecture Hall.
5. Hey everyone! Don’t miss our Faith Night happening Thursday, May 7th from 6:00–8:00 p.m.! Come out for an awesome evening filled with music, prayer, fun activities, and snacks—bring a friend and come hang out! To join us, scan the QR code on the posters around the school to sign up. Don’t wait—the deadline is Wednesday, May 6th! We can’t wait to see you there!
6. Hey Lions! Do you still need a perfect Mother’s day gift? Find Trinkets for Treats at the back of the caf on your lunch during May 6th and 7th for trinkets such as beautiful handmade bracelets, doggy bow ties, and flowers with lovely notes. This Social Justice class has been working hard to be able to offer support to the SPCA, all proceeds will go towards aiding the SPCA in their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals. Mother’s day is this weekend, so this is a perfect way to pick up a gift!
7. Attention Grade 12’s. Prom tickets are on sale via School Cash Online. Get your tickets before they sell out. The last day to buy tickets is this Friday. Reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. S. Medeiros, or Mrs. Lucchesi if you have any questions.
8. This year’s Rainbow Ball is being held at North Park on Thursday, May 14th. Permission forms are available from Ms. Nuhu at the main staff room during any lunch. Don’t miss out on this Wicked themed event!
9. Today is a great day because Ms. Meneguzzi is back in the Den. We missed you Ms. Meneguzzi and hope you have a fabulous day. Welcome back.
10. Mandatory track and field meeting after school. Meet at the track!
11. Come support your Boys rugby teams tomorrow as they take on BCI. Where? At ACS main field! Senior game starts at 3pm, with the Juniors and bantams to follow.
12. Big news — after more than four years, our Girls Varsity Rugby Team is finally back on home turf! This Wednesday, May 6th, at 4:00 PM, our Lady Lions are ready to roar as they take on SJC. It’s time to unleash the pride, defend our territory, and show them what happens when you step into the Lions’ den! We’re calling on all students and staff to come out and support. And a special shoutout to all our ACS female athletes, come and cheer on these fierce competitors! Let’s pack the stands, bring the noise, and prove that our Lions don’t just play… they dominate!
