8. The Varsity Boys Soccer Team played their hearts out yesterday in the AABHN final against St. John’s. They truly saved their best team performance of the season at the best possible time. Playing a frustrating defensive structure, our counter attack looked dangerous throughout the match. The boys fought hard for every loose ball, time and space. They played for each other and the pride of the ACS Lions. With the score still 0-0 after regulation and overtime, Donavan R., Ethan P., Ashur G., Matthew G. And Eamon N. All converted penalty kicks in the shootout victory. Greyson Vanderwal earned the clean sheet, making several big saves at key moments to keep the match deadlocked. Man of the match honours goes to Matthew G., for owning the left wing the entire match. The boys move on to CWOSSA in Cambridge on May 26th and 27th. Shoutout to all the fans that braved the frigid temperatures to support the team!
