1. Today’s the day! It’s ACS’s Annual Christmas Concert: All You Need is Christmas – A Beatles Holiday Celebration! Join us TONIGHT, doors open at 6:30 pm, and the show begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 and can only be purchased at the door. Come out for a magical night of music, cheer, and Beatles-inspired holiday spirit!
2. Candygrams are being sold at the back of the caf Thursday and Friday every week until the last week of classes. All proceeds go to Pennies From Heaven. Come check out the table by the library, pick your candy gift and fill out the form to have it sent to a friend or a special someone. The Social Justice class will deliver them on the Thursday before we end for Christmas break!.
3. Jewelry will be sold at the back of the caf this week. $2.00 per item or three for $5.00. All proceeds will go to Pennies from Heaven.
4. The Semi-Formal Dance is THIS FRIDAY lions! Ticket sales for ACS students will continue on school cash online until Wednesday. NO cash sales or resold tickets will be accepted at the door. On the night of the dance, please remember to bring your ACS student card or another form of ID to confirm your identity. Please note we will be using the STUDENT ENTRANCE for this event. Doors will remain open from 7-8pm. No late admissions will be allowed without prior approval. Please remember that access to lockers will not be available during the dance, and you will not be permitted to leave the dance and return. Coat check will be available for bags and other items if needed. The dance theme is Midnight Stars. Students are encouraged to wear their best attire and dress to excess. Please remember that outfits must adhere to the student code of conduct, and should reflect the moral tone of ACS.
5. Attention all grade 12 students: the time has come to both register and pay for graduation. Please go to the grad D2L page to register and ensure you pay the grad fee via School Cash Online. The deadline is this Friday, December 5th.
6. Good news and bad news. The good news. The library has a new photocopier. The bad news. It isn’t hooked up yet. Expect delays printing in the library and plan for alternatives.
7. Attention Gr 12 students interested in applying to Redeemer University. We have a rep visiting us tomorrow during senior lunch in the cafeteria. Please sign up through our Gr 12 Brightspace page. Tomorrow, please bring your lunch to the cafeteria for our presentation.
8. Attention all swim team members. A reminder that our bus for tomorrow’s swim meet leaves the front of the school bright and early!! Please plan to arrive by 6:50am at the latest. Make sure you have all necessary materials with you when you arrive, as the school will not be accessible.
9. Are you totally blanking on Christmas gift ideas? The library’s got your back—used books for just $2! They’re festive, thoughtful, and budget-friendly. Stop by and grab a stack before Santa beats you to it!
10. French club is meeting on Thursday December 11th after school in room 2004 for a Christmas Escape Room activity. All are welcome. Come out and practice your French and have some delicious snacks.
11. Today's cafe special will be Butter Chicken Curry on rice with a piece Garlic naan $6.50. Cinnamon buns available at 10:15 am.
Sports:
1. The senior boys' basketball team started their season with three straight wins over BCI, PJ and Paris. Shout outs go to Loope, Andrew, Emanuel and Dami for both their offensive and defensive hustle. On Thursday, we will play the undefeated SJC on their home court at 5:30. Come out and support our lions!
