1. Attention grade 9s. Colour Night is tonight from 3-8pm! Here a few reminders for the event. At the end of the day, please place your belongings in your locker, and make your way immediately to the cafeteria to find your team. Please bring a water bottle and wear athletic footwear. By now you should have your wristband with your team colour, and should be wearing it all day. If you did not receive your wristband yesterday, please speak to your homeroom teacher. A reminder that this is a closed event. Re-entry will not be permitted for any student who chooses to leave the school early. As well, any students who are not participating in the event are asked to please leave the school at the end of the day and not to linger. Looking forward to a great event!
2. If you ordered spirit wear over the summer and received a confirmation that it has been delivered, please pick up your order today on your lunch. All orders can be picked up in the student council office. Please have your order number for pickup.
3. The Arts Trip to New York City is almost full! Only 9 of 45 spots are left! If you want to go and are in a grade 9 through 12 visual art, drama, dance, music, photography or media art class, then what are you waiting for? Enroll today to secure one of the last 9 spots. 4. Hi Lions, the quake Debate Club has once again returned! Be sure to come to Room 1013 after school on Tuesday, September 16th if you’re interested. There will be an entertaining, live show debate to kick off the first meeting of the year. We hope to see you there!
5. 11s and 12s. See Shakespeare’s most chilling tragedy unfold—blood, betrayal, and a kingdom torn apart by murder. Tickets cost $32 and you can pick up a permission form outside of room 1012.
6. Hey you – yes, you! Do you have the gift of singing? Or maybe you want to learn how to sing? Either way, come check out the Vocal Ensemble! We rehearse every Tuesday, starting THIS Tuesday, September 16th from 3-4pm in the music room. All grades are welcome. See Ms. O’Neill for more information.
7. Attention members of Concert Band: please see Mr. G. after school today to secure your instrument and pick up music. Our first rehearsal is this Monday from 3:00-4:30.
8. The Boys’ Varsity Baseball team has been posted outside the female phys. Ed office. Thank you to all those that tried out. Our first practice will be on Tuesday, September 16th from 3:30 to 5 pm at Bill Little.
9. Today's special in the servery will be Pulled Pork on a bun topped with your choice of onions and Mozzarella cheese for $6.85 or add small fries for $7.65.
