Don't Forget Lions. Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day. You can replace your uniform top with an orange shirt. The rest of your outfit must be in school uniform (bottoms, shoes).
The Assumption College Prefect Program is recruiting new students. We are looking for students who have heard the call to serve and would like to help others in one or more of the following three ways: 1) with Academic Assistance - in the form of Homework Help and Tutoring; 2) Mentoring New Students; 3) Assisting with Daily School Operations. If you are interested to learn more about the Prefect Program you are invited to attend our mandatory Information Session in the Lecture Hall on Mon. Sept 13 @ 3pm - Please don't be late. After attending our Information Session, you can decide if you would like to take an Application Package to join the Prefect Program. We look forward to meeting you. The Gay Straight Alliance will begin meeting in the Lecture Hall next week. We meet every Wednesday during Grade 9 Lunch: from 12:10pm-12:50pm. Grade 10, 11 and 12 students may only attend at the discretion of their classroom teacher. We hope to see you there!

ACS will be using the month of September to reaffirm our school's commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. As a show of support for the victims and survivors of residential schools, we are asking that this Friday, September 10th, all students replace their uniform shirt with a school-appropriate orange shirt. You must wear uniform bottoms. Lori will be selling orange shirts in the main office during lunch for anyone interested in purchasing one. Shirts cost $10 - cash only.
Do you enjoy acting, singing, and dancing? IF so, the musical is for you! This year's musical is a comedy called "Addam's Family" and auditions are on Tuesday, September 21st for DANCE and Wednesday, September 22nd for ACTING & SINGING. Call backs will be on Friday, September 24th and MUST feature a song from the show. All must attend the dance audition and will be taught a dance to repeat, no preparation required. For the acting audition, you must memorize ANY monologue and for the singing audition you can sing with accompaniment or acapella.
