The Society of St. Vincent de Paul needs our help. They have reached out to ACS and are in desperate need of toiletry items. We will be running a toiletry drive starting on Monday, October 4th running until Thursday, October 7th in your second period class. The following items are needed: bars of soap, body wash, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, toilet paper, Kleenex tissue paper, and hand soap. If you do not have a second period class, please bring items to Ms. Mosher’s class – room 1003. Thank you in advance for your support as we serve our community the way Christ has called us to.
There will be a Junior tennis team practice today after school, please be changed and ready to go by 3 pm. Senior practices will resume Wednesday after school at 3pm. See you all on the courts!
Attention all field hockey players. There is a practice TODAY and Thursday. Just a reminder that mouth guards and shin guards are mandatory.
Attention any students interested in learning Punjabi. The Grand Erie District School Board is offering a Punjabi secondary school credit on Saturdays at Walter Gretzky Elementary School. Please see Student Services for more information.
ATTENTION Grade 11 and12 students- would you like to 'MAJOR" in any of the following areas while in high school: Social Justice, The Environment, Healthcare, The Arts, Sports, Communication and Information Technology, Manufacturing, Transportation, or Business? Then the Specialist High Skills Major "SHISM" program is for you! Please get an application form from your grade 11 or 12 "majors" course teacher OR in Student Services today. Applications are due this month.
ATTENTION Grade 12 and 13 students- the Loran scholarship criteria has changed for this year: it is now available to any students who have had over 85% average the past three years, who is a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident, and there is now no limit to the number of applicants per school. The Loran application can be found online and is due October 13 at 8pm.
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS can be submitted to student services once you have recorded the minimum number of hours and have it signed by a parent/guardian. Remember, you don't need signatures of supervisors, just their name and contact information so we can confirm the hours.
