Any junior boys volleyball player who needs a cab for the game tonight at BCI must be at the gym door exit by 3:10 after school today.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, along with Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Pacheco and Ms. Denison would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who donated and supported the Toiletry Drive last week. Because of your generosity, we were able to collect over 1100 toiletry items. We are so proud of you, Lions! We are called by Jesus to serve others. Thank you for being servants of Christ.  

Any students that are interested in joining our Assumption Cheerleading team please sign up with Mrs. Kandilas in portable 6, more information coming soon.

Registration for Virtual School for Quads 3 and 4 will open on Tuesday, October 12th at 8:00am and close on Monday, October 18th at 8:00pm. This is the only time that students can register for Virtual School for the second semester (Quads 3 and 4).  The link for Virtual School registration can be found on our school website under “Latest News”.

CWAYC (quake) is proud to announce that this year’s A-C-M-A or Assumption College Model United Nations Assembly will take place on Friday December 3rd in the Lecture Hall.  Do you have an interest in global issues? Are you passionate about history, geography or even drama? Do you follow current events?  The Model UN is the perfect event for you. During this full day debate, you will represent a nation of your choice and defend that country’s position on a world issue.  Sharpen your public speaking skills and learn to think on your feet while answering questions from other delegates.  Applications can be found on the brick wall at the back of the cafeteria or outside of room 1013. This is a first come first serve event as spots are limited. Your placement is guaranteed if applications are turned in by October 22nd. We hope to see you there! Attention any students interested in learning Punjabi.  The Grand Erie District School Board is offering a Punjabi secondary school credit on Saturdays at Walter Gretzky Elementary School.  Please see Student Services for more information.

Attention Grade 12 and 5th year students. Have you been visiting your grade 12 D2L page? Make sure you check out the calendar for important dates and virtual university and college presentations. On Thurs. Oct. 7th York university will offer Assumption students a virtual presentation at 4:00 pm. The link is available on the D2L site. Login and enjoy the learning. 

ATTENTION Grade 11 and12 students- would you like to 'MAJOR" in any of the following areas while in high school: Social Justice, The Environment, Healthcare, The Arts, Sports, Communication and Information Technology, Manufacturing, Transportation, or Business?  Then the Specialist High Skills Major "SHSM" program is for you!  Please get an application form from your grade 11 or 12 "majors" course teacher OR in Student Services today. Applications are due this month. 

ATTENTION Grade 12 and 13 students- the Loran scholarship criteria has changed for this year: it is now available to any students who have had over 85% average the past three years, who is a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident, and there is now no limit to the number of applicants per school.  The Loran application can be found online and is due October 13 at 8pm. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS can be submitted to student services once you have recorded the minimum number of hours and have it signed by a parent/guardian. Remember, you don't need signatures of supervisors, just their name and contact information so we can confirm the hours.
