Do you need community service hours? Beginning next year students will be required to have 40 hours of community service to graduate. The St. Vincent de Paul Store is looking for student volunteers on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm once a month. They need students every weekend, so they are able to work around your schedule. For more information see the poster on the volunteer bulletin board beside Guidance and on the door at the chaplain's office. We have always had a great relationship with the St. Vincent de Paul Store, so they came to us first looking for student volunteers. It's a great experience and you would earn 4 service hours each time.

Hey Lions! Can you help donate? From March 28th to April 13th, we are looking to collect canned goods and hygiene products to go to Saint Vincent De Paul. We are looking for toilet paper, shampoo, deodorant etc. As well as canned meat, beans, fruits, and veggies. This is a period 2 challenge! Yes, you heard that right, "challenge." The period 2 class that has donated the most products will win free caf cookies for your whole class. Once again, make sure to bring these items to your period 2 class.

As part of a social justice initiative, we are asking all Lions to come out and Support the Six Nations Youth Lodge this Friday, April 8 by dropping by cafeteria during the Grade 9 and 11 lunch to purchase hand made beaded bracelets for $4 each.  All proceeds will be put towards backpacks filled with essential items for the youth staying at the Youth Lodge. Thank you for your support!

As part of a grade 12 social justice class effort, we are looking to help young Brantford moms in need. Throughout April you can help local moms by donating clean, new or used, baby clothes, toys, and new packages of wipes, food, diapers, bottles, and sanitary products. If that doesn’t seem like something you can help with, then consider buying a donut! Donuts will be sold at the caf every Tuesday, both lunches, all April long for $2 or the donation of a baby product.  All products and money will be donated to the Brantford Pregnancy and Resource Center. Thank you, Lions!

Attention Lions!  The Friends Fiesta has been moved to Friday, May 6th.  Tickets for the Friends Fiesta will go on sale next Monday, April 11th.

For more information see the poster on the bulletin board at the back of the caf beside the fountain or on the wall beside the chaplain's office. Registration and payment is now open and online only.
