Happy Catholic Education Week, Lions!
The Prom Committee meeting will be held on FRIDAY, MAY 6th during second lunch in Room 1009.
Hello Gr 12 Students! We will start selling Prom tickets on Monday, May 9th until the 19th of May. There is a limited number of tickets available. Prom will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Hamilton's Marquis Gardens. We will start selling tickets at the back of the cafe, near the library, during second lunch only. You can pay for your $60 ticket either with cash or ahead of time with School Cash Online. In order to use the online payment option, please bring your receipt to our ticket selling table to pick up your physical ticket. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Braga or Ms. Martello.
Attention all girls interested in trying out for the fast pitch team. Tryouts will resume Monday and Tuesday after school at Lions park.
As part of a social justice initiative we are asking all Lions to come out and Support the Six Nations Youth Lodge TODAY by dropping by the cafeteria during the Grade 9 and 11 lunch to purchase hand made beaded bracelets for $4 each. All monies will go towards making backpacks for the kids at the Lodge.
ACS student council has some very exciting news to share! After nearly two years we are finally able to host a school dance. Glow dance will be taking place on Thursday, May 12th from 6-9pm. Advance tickets are $7 each and can be purchased on school cash online or in person every day at lunch in the cafeteria. If payment is made online, please bring your receipt to the table in the cafeteria to receive your ticket. Guest tickets must be purchased in person, and the final day to sign in guests will be Monday, May 9th. Limited tickets for ACS students may be sold at the door for $14, but we are expecting this to be a popular event so get your tickets early if you want to avoid disappointment!
Hey Lions, don't know what to get your mom for Mother's Day this year? Don't worry, the social justice team has you covered. From May 4th- May 6th we are selling Mother's Day sweets at the back of the cafe. All the proceeds are going to Ronald McDonald house in Hamilton. Don't forget the special females in your life this year. See you there!
Attention all athletes and coaches, you don't want to miss this!! The Annual ACS Athletic Banquet is back! This is a special night where we honour our athletes, MVP's and Athletes of the Year. It takes place on Wednesday June 8th in our cafeteria. Dinner is provided and catered by Mercasa and there are many door prizes to be won! Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are available for $20 in the female phys. ed. office. Get your ticket before they sell out!!!!

Attention grade 12 students:
1.you are reminded that the Linda Lancaster Memorial Scholarship applications are due to the gr 12 D2L page dropbox by midnight tonight.
2.those students who applied for the Mabel and Gordon McMillan Scholarship will have their interviews on Tuesday. Interview times and questions to prepare will be sent to your school email later today.
3. Did you know you are only 7 weeks away from final exams- 6 weeks for grade 12 students?? Now is the time to ask your teacher if you have any missed work to catch up on, do the work, get it handed in plus ensure that you have completed all assigned homework. Remember to turn your phone off for a couple of hours every day and focus on your courses uninterrupted. You're coming up to the final stretch Lions- "Dreams don't work unless you do work!"
4. Hey what have you been up to for the last few years? Nothing? wishing you could be having fun at school and able to enjoy the high school experience? one of the best memories of everyone's high school experience is THE HIGH SCHOOL DANCE! Get off socials and GO to the GLOW dance next week! This is your chance Lions- you've been waiting for it for 3 long years!!!! Buy your tickets- GO!!!!
