This year’s Gr. 12 Drama class presents “The Waiting Room”! It is an interdimensional space where people wait to discover where they go in their afterlife; heaven or hell… There is Angel Cass and a Devil Dan who wait for their work day to begin. A typical day in the waiting room suddenly has a hitch in the plan, and chaos strikes… Join the Assumption College School gr. 12 Drama Class on June 1st at 7:00pm to watch the show! Tickets are FREE!
Attention all athletes, if you played on a sports team this season and would like some of your photos featured in the athletic banquet slideshow please email them to Ms. McDade by Thursday. These can be action shots or candid photos of you and your friends on the sidelines or between games. The more pictures, the better the slideshow will be. Please check your pictures and send some to Ms. McDade ASAP. Also, if you have not purchased your banquet ticket, please come down the the female phys. ed office as soon as possible.
Attention all readers, have we got a deal for you! This Friday, June 3rd, is the last day to sign out a library book, but when you return your book, you receive a free ballot for a draw for an OMG Ice Cream sundae. There are 5 OMG Ice cream sundaes to be won so get your library book back before June 20th. To receive your ballot, be sure to return your book directly to Mrs. Santos or Mrs. Engell.
Final STEM guest speaker of the year. Michael Koss, an Astrophysicist, will be presenting on Wednesday June 1st, one session only, 12:45pm to 1:45pm. Come hear about his travels, the telescopes he has used (including Hubble), and some of the amazing astronomical phenomena he has studied. Tickets and sign up are located outside of Room 3005.
Do you want a chance to show off your cultural clothing? The ACE committee is planning a cultural appreciation day. Wear your best cultural clothing, a jersey from your country, or the colours of your country’s flag on June 10th. We encourage everyone to participate! Listen up ACS, the moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived! Shakespearience is visiting us on Tuesday, June 14 during both lunches. Admission is free, but you do need to register by visiting our LEAP D2L page, twitter feed, or school website as seating is limited. There are English classes that have already signed up. Attention Graduates: If you would like to invite a third guest to see you cross the stage on June 29th, listen up.
Here's how you can win a third seating pass:
Starting on June 1 through to the 8th, come to the Main Office before or after school or on your lunch to register in the Grad Lottery. You will be given a ticket that you must keep safe. The winners will be posted outside of the Main Office on Friday June the 10th and the extra seating pass will be available starting on Friday, in the Main Office. You gotta be in it to win!!!
