Director and Stage Manager interviews will take place Thursday, Sept. 22nd, before school or on 1st lunch in the drama room. Those interested in set design and crew must also sign up now. See Mrs. Boschman, Mr. DaCosta or Mrs. Ratelband for more information.
Do you like to sing? Then come on out to Vocal Ensemble on Tuesday, September 20th from 3-4p.m. in the music room. No previous experience is required and all grades are welcome! See Mrs. Ratelband for more information.
Today is the day! Grade 9 Colour night is happening TONIGHT! Student council can't wait to host you this evening for lots of fun and games. A few things to keep in mind:
• Activities begin right after school in the cafeteria. You can leave your backpack in your locker for the duration of the event, but please remember that you will not be able to access it until the end of the evening. Please bring a water bottle and anything else you might need with you when you come down.
• Grade 10,11 and 12 students: please avoid hanging out in the cafeteria at the end of the school day today. We have lots of special activities planned for our grade 9s and need all the space we can get.
• Grade 12 volunteers helping with the event, please ask your period 4 teachers to dismiss you at 2:40 so you have time to change and meet in the cafeteria before we greet our grade 9s.
Looking forward to a great night!
Mrs. Kandilas would like to thank everyone for coming out to our first cheerleading tryout! Our second tryout will take place on Monday Sept 19th at 7:15am in the gym. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Attention ACS Knitting Club members. Our first meeting has been moved to next Wednesday, September 21st.
Attention all past art students! If any of your artwork or portfolios are still in room 2015 or 2028, please pick them up after school some time this week. Any work not picked up by Friday, September 16th will be disposed of.
Attention to those students who wish to park their cars at school during the day. Please come to the office for a Parking Registration Form either before school, on your lunch, or after school. Our office staff will assist you in next steps to register your vehicles and get you situated with parking at school. We are trying to give students time to register their vehicles with us. Soon, we will be tagging vehicles without parking permits to come to the office to register. Please don’t park your vehicles without registering, if students continue to park their cars without registering them, we will have those vehicles towed. If you’re parking here for one day, please let the office know.
Today's lunch features in the cafeteria are:
- for breakfast we have Westerns on a croissant $4.50.
- we also have donuts $1.75.
- and for lunch Greek Poutine: seasoned fries with feta cheese, black olives and gravy topped off tzatziki.
