Our first Casual Dress Day of the year is this Wednesday, September 21st. Students are to bring in two dollars to dress casually. All money collected will go to the Mohawk Village Memorial Park.
Calling all dancers!! Do you love to dance? Do you love performing on the stage? Are you looking to be part of a team here at ACS? Then the Assumption Dance Team is the place for you. Please join us for an important information meeting this Tuesday, Sept 20th after school in the drama room, Room 1092. Audition dates and times to be discussed at the meeting. Are you dramatic? I mean the GOOD dramatic as in ACTING, DIRECTING or VOICE WORK? Then the National Theatre School Drama Festival is for YOU! Sign up during Clubs day on Tuesday, Sept. 20th or on the drama bulletin board outside the drama room 1092 by the office and indicate what role you are interested in. Director and Stage Manager interviews will take place Thursday, Sept. 22nd, before school or on 1st lunch in the drama room. Those interested in set design and crew must also sign up now. Do you like to sing? Then come on out to Vocal Ensemble on Tuesday, September 20th from 3-4p.m. in the music room. No previous experience is required and all grades are welcome! See Mrs. Ratelband for more information.
Good morning Lions! Our ACS Prefects are here to help you. Could you use a little help in one or more of your classes this semester? Are you a new student or someone who could use help with the English language, or perhaps you'd like to learn a new language? Our Prefects would love to help. Stop by Student Services to pick up and drop off an application to access our Free Homework Help, Tutoring, and Prefect Mentorship. We will do the rest. Applications are limited, so don't wait. Attention to those students who wish to park their cars at school during the day. Please come to the office for a Parking Registration Form either before school, on your lunch, or after school. Our office staff will assist you in next steps to register your vehicles and get you situated with parking at school. We are trying to give students time to register their vehicles with us. Beginning next week, we will be tagging vehicles without parking permits to come to the office to register. Please don’t park your vehicles without registering, if students continue to park their cars without registering them, we will have those vehicles towed. If you’re parking here for one day, please let the office know.”
Today's lunch feature in the cafeteria is three cheese tortellini in tomato sauce with a garlic stick for $5. We would like to remind students that back packs are not allowed in the cafeteria, please leave them in the cubby outside the entrance. There are two debit terminals please form a single line while in the caf to make room for people not waiting for hot food.
