Be sure to make your way to the Lecture Hall today during the lunch hours as STEM presents guest Speaker John Donohue from the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. His presentation and after school workshops will wrap up what was been a very successful QUANTUM WEEK here at Assumption!!
Are you musically talented? Do you need an opportunity to perform in front of an audience? Then why not audition for a spot to perform at the Christmas concert on Thursday, December 8th? We're looking for solos, duets, trios, vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers. Auditions are next week, on Wednesday, November 30th before school and during first lunch. ATTENTION LIONS! The Poinsettia fundraiser is in full swing. Thank you to those staff and students who have sold and submitted order forms and money. You still have time to sell more! Remember, there is a gift card prize for the student who sells the most! Maybe it will help you with your shopping list, or maybe you use it as a gift to yourself!! Order forms and money are due to Ms. Lancaster in the GIRLS PE office by Tuesday November 29! Help support events like Spring Fling, Athletics and French Trip. Attention to any student who uses the library. Starting Monday, November 28th up to Friday, December 2nd , the library will only be open for use before school, during first lunch, and after school because of the the Gr. 10 Literacy Test being written there. The Innovation Lab will be available during the day for quiet, independent study. To enter the Innovation Lab next week, you must use the door beside the elevator. No students (except those writing the test) will be allowed entry in the Library during periods 1, 2, 3B, and 4 all of next week. Signs will be posted outside the Library and Innovation Lab outlining when the spaces are available. Thanks for your cooperation, Lions and good luck to all students writing the Literacy test.
Hey Lions! This year's Semi Formal Dance will be taking place on Friday, December 2nd from 7-10pm. Tickets for ACS students are NOW AVAILABLE for $15 on School Cash Online and will remain available until the event sells out. Only 500 tickets will be sold, and it is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, so make sure to get your early! Guest tickets will be available for purchase during both lunches at the back of the cafeteria this week ONLY. A reminder that guest permission forms must be filled out completely BEFORE a guest ticket can be purchased. Permission forms can be picked up in the main office. A reminder that only one guest is permitted per ACS student, and that student must be currently enrolled in high school. Looking forward to a great event!
