This announcement is for all current Specialist High Skills Major - SHSM - students. There will be an important information meeting TODAY for your SHSM in the Lecture Hall. You will get an appointment slip with your time so that you can attend. There is a poster at Student Services with all the information too. Make sure to be there!

Attention Graduates of 2023! Grad hoodies are available for purchase through school cash online until December 9th. These Champion hoodies are black with an ACS grad logo screen printed on the front and your name included on the back. Hoodies will arrive in early January and can be worn on Spirit Wear Fridays.
This is the final week for the Pennies From Heaven classroom competition. Donations will be collected this Friday and counted to determine which home room will win the Golden Pig and the class party. It is still a tight race and any class could win. If you are able, please donate what you can. All money raised supports our Assumption family! We will still collect throughout December if you wish to continue to donate.
If you are fundraising for the French trip - Poinsettia money and order forms were due yesterday, if you haven't handed in your paperwork to Madame Rodger, please do so immediately following announcements in the Foods Room. Money and orders for the pepperette fundraiser are due next Monday. If you would like a catalogue for sales of Jensen Cheese, please see Mme. Rodger in the foods room.
After school tutoring by teachers and Prefects is available for all students, Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the library. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity to help their grades.
Attention STEM students. Registrations for the Evening of STEM workshops being held after school on Wednesday Dec 7th, are now open. All students to choose TWO workshops that will take place from 3:15pm to 4:15pm and then from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. At 6:00pm we have a presentation from Waterloo engineer Paola Russo.
Hey Lions! Are you a Potterhead or just a big fan of Harry Potter or maybe you just love to hang out with friends and have fun. If yes, we have an exciting event just for you! On Monday, December 12th after school, the Library Advisory Council is running a Harry Potter themed event. It includes trivia, a scavenger hunt, and much more! Tickets are $5 and includes pizza, popcorn and a drink. Tickets will be sold at the back of the caf from Dec. 5-8th during both lunches. Costumes are recommended! The event will run from 3-8PM. If you have any questions, see your library staff. Hope to see you there.
Attention to any student who uses the library. The library will only be open for use before school, during first lunch, and after school because of the Gr. 10 Literacy Test being written this week. The Innovation Lab will be available during the day for quiet, independent study. To enter the Innovation Lab you must use the door beside the elevator. Signs will be posted outside the Library and Innovation Lab outlining when the spaces are available. Thanks for your cooperation, Lions and good luck to all students writing the Literacy test.
Semi is THIS FRIDAY Lions, and it is SOLD OUT! Students attending the dance, please keep the following in mind:
-On the night of the dance, please remember to bring your ACS student card or another form of picture ID in order to confirm your identity. Please note we will be using the STUDENT ENTRANCE for this event. Doors will remain open for admission from 7pm to 8pm. No late admissions will be allowed without prior approval.
-Please remember that access to lockers will not be available during the dance, and you will not be permitted to leave the dance and return. Please make sure you have everything you need with you when you arrive. Coat check will be available for bags and other items if needed.
-If you need a late taxi to Caledonia for after the dance, requests must be made in the main office by no later than 12:30pm on the day of the dance.
-Semi is a formal event. Students are expected to dress in their best attire for the evening. Please remember that outfits must adhere to the student code of conduct and should reflect the moral tone of Assumption College School.
