If any student needs to see their guidance counsellor regarding semester 2 schedule changes, you must come to Student Services and sign-up for an appointment. Schedule changes require an in-person appointment and will not be done through email. The last day to sign-up for schedule changes is Wednesday, February 8th.

A reminder that  TODAY is Book Club during both lunches in the Library's Innovation lab. 

Attention all STEM members or want to be STEM members.  There will be a quick meeting being held during both lunches TODAY!!! 1st Lunch in Room 3005  at 11:45am.  Second Lunch in Room 3011  at 1:00pm.  Important Announcements to be made!!!!

This message is for Grade 9, 10 and 11 students who have signed up for the Waterloo Math Contest.  There will be a general information meeting TODAY in the Library after school with details about the contest and practice sessions.

Junior Badminton tryouts begin tomorrow at 7am. Sign up sheet and permission forms are in front of the Male PhysEd Office. Please see Mr. Dyjack, Ms. Cassano or Mr. Prior if you have any questions.

Attention NTS Drama Festival members - your rehearsal is TONIGHT from 3pm to 5pm.  See you on the stage!  Let us know if you cannot attend.

Graduates don't miss booking your grad photos.  Edge Imagining will be taking grad photos in the library on Tuesday, February 14th and Wednesday, February 15th.  You must book your appointments online at bookmygrad.ca and enter the school code:  ASU.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. B.P. in Portable 12.  

Attention Graduates!  The time has come, your community service hours are due! Please bring your completed community hours sheets to Student Services by Thursday, February 9th. Remember, they must be signed by you and your parent/guardian to be handed in. 

The OECTA writing contest entries are due to either Ms. Engell or Ms. Fergus, before the end of the day, Monday February 6th. 

Valedictorian essays and applications are due to Mr. Cacilhas, via the Main Office, before the end of the day, Friday Feb. 10th.  At that same time, the electronic copy of your essay is due to Ms. Fergus at pfergus@bhncdsb.ca.  See your Grad Information package for all these details. 

Attention all Semester 1 Visual Arts students! All semester 1 art projects must be picked up by Monday, February 6th by the end of the school day. Any work that is not picked up by Monday after school will be thrown out.

Welcome back, Lions! And welcome to any new students this semester. Your school library's Book Club and LEAP are hosting two amazing events this month and we want you there. This coming Wednesday, Canadian author Judy Lin will be speaking about her White Pine nominated novel, A Magic Steeped in Poison and about the writing process in general. You will have the opportunity to ask Judy questions directly. Even if you haven't read the book, there is something for everyone. All students are welcome. LEAP members will receive points for attending. Please sign up in the library at the circulation desk. The presentation is at 12 PM in the Reading Room on February 8th. Students will be given slips to get out of class, if necessary. See Mrs. Santos or Mrs. Engell in the Library if you have any questions.
