If any student needs to see their guidance counsellor regarding semester 2 schedule changes, you must come to Student Services and sign-up for an appointment. Schedule changes require an in-person appointment and will not be done through email. The last day to sign-up for schedule changes is Wednesday, February 8th.
The GSA is starting up again. We will meet in Room 1035 today during both lunches as we begin work on our mural.
There will be a very brief meeting for all members of the curling team today after school in Room 3011. If you cannot make the meeting make sure you see Mr. O’Brien today.
STEM students are reminded that they are to drop by room 3005 to pick up permission slips to attend either Thursday's Let's Talk Science panelists discussion on the Future of Medicine from 12:30 to 2:00 in the Bio room (2073) or Tuesday's Forensics presentation taking place during period 4 in the Lecture Hall.
There is a meeting for the 180 team tomorrow, Thursday, in the chaplain's office on both lunches. New members are always welcome.
Attention all Junior Badminton players, a list is posted infront of the Male PhysEd office of those who have made it to the next tryout, which is Thursday at 7am. If you were unable to make out Tuesday and still want to tryout, make sure you pick up a permission form outside the male Physed office. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Dyjack, Ms. Cassano or Mr. Prior.
Attention all students! The Chess Club will be holding their first meeting after school from 3-4pm this Thursday in Room 2023 and 2027. All meetings will be held on Thursdays, as this is what works best for those who signed up. Come on out for a new experience and to test your logical thinking skills. No prior experience required! Please see Mr. DaCosta in Room 2023 if you cannot attend.
Graduates don't miss booking your grad photos. Edge Imagining will be taking grad photos in the library on Tuesday, February 14th and Wednesday, February 15th. You must book your appointments online at bookmygrad.ca and enter the school code: ASU. If you have any questions, please see Ms. B.P. in Portable 12.
Attention Graduates! The time has come, your community service hours are due! Please bring your completed community hours sheets to Student Services by Thursday, February 9th. Remember, they must be signed by you and your parent/guardian to be handed in.
Valedictorian essays and applications are due to Mr. Cacilhas, via the Main Office, before the end of the day, Friday Feb. 10th. At that same time, the electronic copy of your essay is due to Ms. Fergus at pfergus@bhncdsb.ca. See your Grad Information package for all these details.
Your school library's Book Club and LEAP are hosting two amazing events this month and we want you there. TODAY, Canadian author Judy Lin will be speaking about her White Pine nominated novel, A Magic Steeped in Poison and about the writing process in general. You will have the opportunity to ask Judy questions directly. Even if you haven't read the book, there is something for everyone. All students are welcome. LEAP members will receive points for attending. Please sign up in the library at the circulation desk. The presentation is at 12 PM in the Reading Room on February 8th.
