Attention Lions.  This week is Registration Week.  During period 1, students are asked to return their Signed Course Selection sheets and their School Cash Online Receipt to our secretarial team in the cafeteria.  Students are only to be released from class if they have shown their teachers the two pieces of paper required for registration.  Get your registration forms in early to get the courses you want.

The GSA is meeting today in Room 1031 during both lunches. We are beginning to paint our mural today!

STEM students are to check their emails for some information sent from Mr. Page.

Are you a female student at ACS who wants the chance to better themselves physically, mentally, and socially? Do you want the chance to run, tackle, slide and shout? If this is you, come out and join the Varsity Girls Rugby Team. There will be a brief meeting in Room 1087 at the end of the day on Thursday. You will make your bus.

Lions, please support our clothing drive to assist those impacted by the massive earthquake in Turkey and Syria last week.  Please bring in any clothing donation you may have to your homeroom class. The items requested can be new or gently used and are requested for all age groups, all sizes, and for males and females. There will be a poster for each classroom with all the details.  This clothing drive end on Tuesday, February 21st. Thank you for your support, Lions.

If you missed your school photo in the first semester, or need your photo redone, then mark this Thursday, February 16th on your calendar.  Semester 2 photos and retakes will take place on Thursday in the library.  Listen to Thursday's announcements for more details.

Attention ACS Knitting Club members.  Our next meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, February 22nd from 3pm to 4pm in Portable 17. There's no meeting this Wednesday February 15th.  If you need more yarn, pop into the portable anytime.  Thank you for all you do.

There is a sign up sheet outside the Male Phys Ed for those interested in playing Bantam, Junior, and Senior Rugby. Please make sure you indicate if you need a rugby uniform as coaches want to submit an order ASAP. You do not need any previous experience to join the team. Please see Mr. Prior or Doctor Denison if you have any questions.

STEM is working with all the other schools in Brantford to put together a Vision 2024 Conference Titled "The World is Waiting". The committee of teachers is looking for some visual inspiration.  As such we are running a poster contest.  Your poster should take up approximately 2/3 of a 8 ½x11” page, because there will need to be room for writing on the poster.  The graphic should evoke inspiration, hope, and change through technology.  We are excited to see what you come up with! Due date: Thursday March 9, 2023.  If possible, please use Adobe to create the file, and please save as a Vector File.  For more information or to submit a drawing, please see Mr. Page in Room 3005.

Hey Lions, have you been thinking about working with a Prefect this semester to help you with a course that's been stressing you out? or did you want to learn a new language or practice speaking English? If so, have a chat with your teacher or guidance counsellor and swing by Student Services to pick and drop off an application to receive some FREE Prefect help.  We look forward to working with you --- The ACS Prefect Program.
