Attention 2023 Graduates! Valedictorian Vote 2023 will take place on Thursday, March 2nd from 9 AM to 3PM. Grads, vote for one of the 7 candidates by accessing the Grade 12 D2L page and clinking on the link to vote.
Attention Indigenous Students! During both lunches on March 2nd, there will be a drop-in session in the Reading Room in the Library. This gathering is to get input on next steps for Indigenous activities and promote well-being. A light lunch is offered.
The GSA will be meeting TODAY in Room 1035 during first lunch and in the Library Reading Room during second lunch.
Attention CWAYC members and those interested in military history. TODAY, Lieutenant-Colonel Normand Levert will be making a live, Canada wide presentation via teams. If you would like to attend the presentation, you need to sign up outside Room 1013. The presentation will take place in the Lecture Hall from 1:00pm-2:00pm TODAY. Attention all girl's interested in playing Varsity Rugby this spring. Our first practice has been scheduled for this Friday morning from 7:15-8:15 AM. Please come with lots of energy and be prepared to work! Permission forms are still available outside of Room 1087 and MUST be signed prior to Friday's practice. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Do you enjoy dances, coffee houses, and showing off your school spirit? Are you interested in planning and organizing school events? Are you looking to involve yourself in leadership opportunities? If so, then student council is the team for you! Applications for new members are now available in the main office and are open to all grades. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 29th, so pick up yours today!"
There will be a meeting for all those interested in playing on the Sr Football Team next fall. The meeting will take place on Monday, March 6th, in the Lecture Hall during second lunch. Students in Grade 11 wishing to attend the meeting will need permission from their period 3 teacher.
Any grade 12's interested in writing the math contest can sign up on the STEM Brightspace page, or email Mrs. Bednarz. Please do so by the end of the week. Mr. Stec will be running practice sessions on Tuesdays after school starting March 7th in Room 3011. The date of the contest is April 4th.
Attention to all students attending Post Secondary School in the Fall - A few reminders:
1. Keep an eye on your junk mail for scholarship and bursary opportunities being sent directly from the Colleges and Universities that you have applied to.
2. Check the Scholarship and Bursary Chart on D2L regularly for links and information about financial opportunities.
3. Ask your parents, guardians, and employers for scholarship opportunities.
