There will be a Virtual Prom Meeting for all Grade 12 Period 2 classes TODAY.  The meeting will take 15 to 20 minutes.  Students with Period 2 spare can join the meeting via TEAMs in the cafeteria.  Please see Ms. Christie in the caf.

Attention ACS Knitting Club.  A reminder of our meeting after school TODAY from 3pm to 4pm.

The GSA will be meeting TODAY in Room 1035 during first and second lunch.  All GSA members are invited to attend the second lunch meeting in Room 1035, though students in class must have the permission of their period 3 teacher. 

Attention STEM members, we have an upcoming meeting scheduled for TODAY.  Note the start times: students with first lunch are to be dismissed at 11:15am and are to make their way to the lecture hall as soon as possible. Those with second lunch are to be dismissed at 12:35pm. This way our presenter will have plenty of time to discuss topics such as galaxy formation and dark matter.

Attention Indigenous Students.  During both lunches on April 6th, there will be a drop-in session in the Reading Room in the Library.  This gathering is to get input on next steps for Indigenous activities and promote well-being.  Light lunch is offered.

A reminder to all students still wishing to register for Assumption Cares.  Thursday is the final day of registration, so if you’re still interested in joining us see Mr O’BRIEN in room 3011.

A reminder to sign up for boys baseball and to pick up a form if interested. The form is due to Mrs. Lytle in a Portable 5 by the end of the day tomorrow.

Are you in Grade 9 or 10? Do you have an interest in Geography? Or have a good general knowledge about Canada and the World?  And LOVE trivia?  If so,  QUAKE has an opportunity for you!  We are looking to name Assumption’s “School Geography Champion” in the Canadian Geographic Geography Challenge!  The 50 question Multiple Choice Challenge will be held on Thursday, April 13th during First Lunch.  See Mrs. Walsh ASAP in Room 3010 during both lunches to sign up and be provided with further information. 

Calling all grade 12 SHSM students.  Your mandatory First Aid and CPR training will take place Monday April 17th and Tuesday April 18th in the small gym.  A full list of participants and important information is on the window at student services and has also been emailed to you. Make sure to read this. If you feel you should be participating and have been missed please go to student services for help.  This training brings you closer to completing your SHSM designation. See you April 17th and 18th. 

Attention all Visual Art SHSM students! There is a visual art trip to Toronto to visit the Disney Animation Immersive Experience happening on Thursday, April 27th. This is free for Visual Art SHSM students. See Ms. Benoit in the art rooms to get a permission form today. There are limited tickets available, and the trip is first come, first served.

ACS Student Council will be hosting our Spring Coffee House on May 4th! Do you have a musical talent you'd like to share? Auditions for this event will be held during both lunches on Thursday April 6th in the lecture hall. If you are unable to make the auditions but would like to participate, please email Ms Ristov with a short video submission.

Do you want to buy candy while supporting a cause? The ACE Committee will be selling bags of candy during both lunches at the back of the caf every day of this week. Bags will cost a minimum of 3 dollars, but everyone is encouraged to donate as much as they want. All donated money will be going towards relief efforts for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria!

Attention Class of 2023!  Each High School in Brant County is eligible to nominate 2 students for the James Hillier Scholarship.  If you are a Student who has been accepted to a University or College program in Science and Technology and have achieved over 90% average on your top 6 University or Mixed level courses, including at least 2 sciences, have been a resident of Brantford or Brant County for your final 3 years of high school, are interested in scientific research, and would like to be interviewed and considered for the Hillier Scholarship, please sign up in Student Services.  This is the first step of the nomination process.  Sign-up by Tuesday April 11th.
