Attention grade 12s!  There will be another prom committee meeting TODAY - Tuesday, May 2nd.  Please meet us in Room 1008 during second lunch.  Please see Ms. Braga, Ms. Martello, Ms. Lucchesi or Ms. Borges if you have any questions.

There will be a Boys Lacrosse meeting at the beginning of first lunch today in the gym.  Mr. Petrella will issue notices for all students who have 2nd lunch and will arrive late to period 3. 

There will be a track and field practice today and tomorrow after school.  If weather affects practice, an announcement will be made by the end of the day today. 

A reminder that the YMCA's Youth Transition will be here TODAY during second lunch. Please meet at the back of TLC at the start of lunch to benefit from their support.

Attention all girls interested in trying out for the fast pitch team. Please come sign up outside the female Phys ed office and get a permission slip and tryout information. 

Any student with donations for Assumption Cares can hand them in today in the cafeteria at lunch,  Remember, tomorrow is the last day to bring your donations in.

For students who wish to be part of the Track and Field team, there will be a “qualifying meet” for both track events, and field events on Thursday after school.  Any student that has signed up and does not attend will not be able to participate in the AABHN Track and Field meet next week. 

On Wednesday, May 3rd, the ACS Jack Chapter will be hosting a Mental Health and Wellness Community Resource Fair during both lunches.  The purpose of this fair is for students to become aware of mental health and well-being resources available for children, youth and families in their community.  We have 16 agencies registered to come and they will have displays and interactive booths available.  We are looking forward to this awesome event!

STEM is welcoming former Lion Nicole Vandermade back to the Den on Thursday, May 4th (May the Force!). Note the dismissal times (11:15am and 12:35pm). The topic is Kinesiology, the department in which she works at Laurier University.  Classes interested in attending can reach out to Mr. Page to hold a spot.

Coffee House is back Lions! Need an excuse to hang out with friends, eat snacks, and enjoy some great musical entertainment? Coffee House is the place to be! Come on out this Thursday, May 4th at 6pm, and see all the talent our school has to offer. Tickets are available to purchase for $8 on School Cash Online, or for $10 at the door. See you there!

Friday, May 5th has been commemorated as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Across the nation, we are called upon to wear red to acknowledge thousands of young women and girls who go missing each year. Students may replace their uniform or spirit wear tops with a red shirt on Friday.

Are you looking for somewhere to perform? Well look no further! The annual spring concert is holding auditions for acts to perform between classes and ensemble performances. Submit your performance audition via video to Mrs. Ratelband no later than Tuesday May 9th at midnight. The spring concert is held Wednesday May 17th. Make sure your video is in one take with no edits! Good luck!

Attention Knitting Club.  Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 10th in Portable 17 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Continue to work on your blankets. Thank you for all you do. 

Listen up Lions! Student Council is planning the Glow Dance and here are some important things you need to know.  The dance will be on Thursday May 18th from 6:00-9:00 PM. Ticket sales will start on Monday May 8th – but if you are planning on bringing a guest from another school, guest forms are available in the MAIN OFFICE now! Only one guest is allowed per student, and they must be enrolled in high school to attend. Make sure you pick up this form A.S.A.P. because your guest needs to have it filled out before they can be sold a ticket.
