The ACE committee will be meeting TODAY during both lunches to begin planning for Culture Day! During first lunch, please meet in Room 3024. During second lunch, please meet in Room 1003. A murder mystery event. Doesn’t that sound like something to die for? The Library Advisory Council has put together this blood-chilling event just for you! This event will take place on Wed. May 10, from 3-7 pm. There is a $5 fee which will go towards pizza and pop. Tickets are on sale at the back of the caf during both lunches. Come on out and put on your detective hats for our murder mystery night! See a member of the LAC for any questions.

Dear students.  Due to extenuating circumstances they will be no prayer after school today in the chapel. We will have the rosary next Tuesday.

Are you looking for somewhere to perform? Well look no further! The annual spring concert is holding auditions for acts to perform between classes and ensemble performances. Submit your performance audition via video to Mrs. Ratelband no later than TONIGHT at midnight. The spring concert is held Wednesday May 17th. Make sure your video is in one take with no edits! Good luck!

Attention Grade 12 students.  The school is hearing there have been glitches with the Grad Retreat online payment in the last couple of days so payment will remain open today. If you are having issues with making the payment please email Mrs. Sheldrake today or this evening to let her know. We want everyone to be able to attend who would like to. The date of the retreat is Tuesday May 23rd. 

Listen up lions! The Glow Dance is NEXT WEEK on Thursday May 18th, and tickets are now available for you to purchase on SchoolCash Online for $7.00.  If you need to buy a ticket for your guest, this can be done on your lunch at the back of the caf during this week. You MUST have your guests’ signed form. Please note that ONLY guest tickets can be purchased with cash – ACS students must get their ticket online. Dances have sold out, so don’t wait to get your ticket. This is the final dance of the year, so you don’t want to miss out! 

The Shellard Lane Association is offering various volunteer opportunities for their initiative in bringing sports events to the area.  Please see the bulletin board outside of Student Services or the Guidance D2L page for more information.

Attention Graduates:  A reminder that the Kent Dixon Service Award and the Mark G Dixon Memorial Award Applications are DUE THIS FRIDAY MAY12th.  Graduates, please also take the time to apply to the different scholarship and awards offered through your Post-Secondary Colleges and Universities.

The class of 2023 was in grade 9 when Teacher Librarian Ms. Freibauer completed her final year as a faculty member at Assumption College. Ms. Freibauer supported all areas of student life including sports, academics, the football knitting club, book clubs, coffee house and much more.  Ms. Freibauer passed away in August 2022.  A Grad Award has been set up in her name.  Graduates, please see D2L for the application process.

Attention all grade 12s!  The time is here to buy your tickets for this year's prom - 'Up Where They Glow.'  Beginning Sunday, May 7th until Friday May 12th ONLY, students can purchase prom tickets via cash online. NO cash will be accepted in person. Once complete, please bring your printed receipt to the back of the cafeteria on your lunch to receive your physical tickets. Tickets are $65 each. You can also pick up the physical ticket of a non-ACS guest on their behalf. We just need their contact information, the school they attend, dietary restrictions and any allergy information. Students will also be able to create their tables once they receive their tickets. Please keep in mind that there will only be ONE WEEK of ticket sales and as they sold out last year, you don't want to wait!

Attention Lions.  Looking for extra help with your studies.  Then look no further.  Come out to free tutoring in the Library after school.  ACS staff from all subjects are available from Monday to Thursday, 3:05pm to 4:05pm, in the library.  See you there.
