Attention all Visual Art SHSM students! There is a visual art trip to Toronto to visit the ROM happening on Thursday, May 25th. This is free for Visual Art SHSM students. See Ms. Benoit in the art rooms to get a permission form TODAY. There are limited spots available, and the trip is first come, first served.
We have an announcement from Mrs. Sheldrake. Students who are going tomorrow to the student conference are to meet her at the bell at 8:50am at the back of the school where the buses come in at the student parking lot.
STEM Council Meeting 2023-2024: Anyone interested in being a part of next year's planning committee for STEM is asked to attend a meeting after school on Tuesday May 16th in Room 3005.
There will be a STEM Presentation on Thursday May 18th. Mario Positano, a computer digital animator from Sheridan College will be here to share his story.
Listen up lions! The Glow Dance is NEXT WEEK on Thursday May 18th, and tickets are now available for you to purchase on SchoolCash Online for $7.00. If you need to buy a ticket for your guest, this can be done on your lunch at the back of the caf during this week. You MUST have your guests’ signed form. Please note that ONLY guest tickets can be purchased with cash – ACS students must get their ticket online. Dances have sold out, so don’t wait to get your ticket. This is the final dance of the year, so you don’t want to miss out!
Do you like to get outside and walk or run? Then the Brantford Rotary Classic run is for you! Join the ACS team this year on Sunday, June 4th to help support the Lansdowne Children Centre and the Boys and Girls Club. If you are interested in being a part of this amazing event please see Mme. Are you an Arabic- speaking newcomer between the ages of 16-18? McMaster University is conducting a research study called Thriving Together to learn about how young people are adjusting and what supports are necessary. Your answers are confidential. For completing the survey you will receive a $15 gift card. You will also be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of 3 gift cards worth $100. To take part, you must be16 to 18 years old, arrived in Canada after January 2015, and be from an Arabic-speaking country. Registration info is on the bulletin board in TLC.
