Don’t forget Lions that tomorrow is Spirit Wear Day. Students can replace a uniform piece with ACS Spirit Wear. If a student has spirit wear on, they can wear any type of shoe.
Should students need any class changes, they must sign up for an appointment with their Guidance Counsellor in the Student Services office by Friday, September 8th. NO changes will be made via email or phone call.
Calling all runners! Cross-country training will begin next Monday. For those interested in participating, there will be a brief meeting after school in Room 1009 to pick up permission forms. If you are currently practicing with another Assumption team and would like to compete in the races, please let Ms. Czaplinska, Ms. Gomez or Mr. Prior know.
Jr. Boys Volleyball sign up sheet will be posted today by the male phys-ed office. Please take a permission form that must be signed and brought to the first tryout on Monday morning at 7AM.
Do you find your toes tapping to a beat? Or that you can't stand still? Well, why not put your best foot forward and audition for "Footloose"? Sign up outside the drama room door for dance auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 19th. Lead role auditions must also signup on Wednesday, Sept. 20th for singing and acting. Attention music students, the ACS Concert Band will be having its first meeting this Monday at 3 o'clock in the Music Room. All are welcome, but you must have experience reading music. Please email Mr. Glowala or see him in room 1154 if you have any questions.

It’s tennis season again. All students interested in trying out for the tennis team are asked to pick up a permission form outside Mrs. O’Brien’s room, room 3004, on Thursday or Friday this week. Junior tryouts will be held Monday afterschool and Senior tryouts will be held Tuesday afterschool. You need to have your permission form signed in order to tryout. Please wear appropriate tennis attire and bring a racquet if you have one. See everyone Monday or Tuesday next week
Any Senior Boys interested in trying out for the Volleyball team are asked to please sign up outside the female phys ed office. Try out schedules will be posted there. If you have any questions see Ms. Ferraccioli.
Attention all girls interested in trying out for the Girls Field Hockey team. Tryouts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week at 3:15pm. Please sign up and get a permission form outside the girls phys. ed. office. All interested players are required to bring a mouth guard and soccer shin pads to tryouts. We will meet in the small gym before heading outside on Monday! Dress for the weather!
Any students who wish to try out for the Golf Team are asked to attend a brief meeting after school TODAY. The boys team will meet in Room 3014 and the girls will meet in Room 3015. Dr. Petrella and Mr. Hummel will be assisting with the boy's team. Miss Mattan and Miss Sinclair will be coaching the girl's team. See you there!
Attention all grade 9 students. Student council has planned a special event just for you! Next Thursday, September 14th, is COLOUR NIGHT - a fun filled evening of games, pizza, and a grade 9 only dance. Plus, you get to dress down all day in your team colour! Tickets for this event are $8, and will be sold at the back of the cafeteria during lunch from Thursday September 7 - Wednesday September 13. Come on out to meet new friends and make lasting memories! If you are a grade 12 student and wish to volunteer to lead a colour team for this event, please sign up on the sheet outside of TLC.
Boys' baseball tryouts continue TODAY at Bill Little Park from 3:30-5 pm. Permission forms can be picked up outside the male phys-ed office and must be returned to Miss Robitaille in the green folder outside of Room 3014 prior to the tryout.

Today’s special in the cafeteria will be Mexican Taco Beef served on your choice of fries or nachos with cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa, and green onions for $7.00. Also, we will have Nachos and Cheese available for $4.75. Popcorn chicken will be served from our steam table for $5.25.
