The Boys Varsity Baseball team has been posted outside the male phys. ed office.  Thank you to all those that tried out.  Our first practice will be on Wednesday, September 13th at Bill Little Park from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

The ACS Golf Team tryouts were held yesterday afternoon at Fescues Edge Golf Club.  It was an AWESOME afternoon for golf and a great time was had by all.  The coaches would like to thank all of the students who tried out for the team!  A list of those golfers who have qualified for the AABHN tournament will be posted outside room 3010 today.  All qualifiers are expected to attend very brief meeting this Thursday after school in room 3014 to discuss the tournament which takes place next week.

Attention all STEM members .... and for those new to school, STEM is one of the largest clubs at Assumption, serving those interested in subjects like Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM meets once or twice a month to hear from guest speakers, participate in various workshops or to go visit scientific locations, either locally or internationally.
Mr. Page wants to inform you about FOUR important items.
1. The first STEM meeting will take place on Monday September 25th
2. Start looking for emails being sent to your school accounts with all the latest updates.
3. If interested in joining, drop by room 3005 to pick up a registration form.
4. There are still 3 spots available for the March break trip to Costa Rica & Panama. For more information, drop by room 3005 to pick up a package.

Hello Lions!  Our first community outreach has begun, and our first food drive of the year starts today!   This food drive will be supporting the Salvation Army, and we are happy to help!  This food drive will run from Monday September 11th through Thursday September 14th.  Students are asked to bring in , non-expired, non-perishable food items before Thursday. Hygiene products will also be greatly appreciated.  Students are asked to donate foods like; cereal, children's snacks, peanut butter, tuna, spam, canned meat and more.  Hygiene products can include; diapers, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps  The top 3 classes will win a prize. 1st place will get breakfast, 2nd will get cookies, and 3rd will get TIMBITS!!  Thank you for your donations and we look forward to a great collection!

Attention all grade 9 students. Colour Night is THIS THURSDAY! Come on out for a fun-filled evening of games, pizza, and a dance. Ticket sales for this event continue until Wednesday at lunch in the cafeteria. On the day of the event, you will be allowed to dress down in your team colour. Make sure you are wearing your wristband all day long in order to participate in the day's activities! Please remember that outfits should adhere to school dress down guidelines. Athletic footwear and waterbottles are also recommended. Looking forward to a great event! Grade 12s who signed up to volunteer, there will be a brief meeting on Tuesday at the start of lunch in the library reading room. Please see Mrs Ristov if you cannot attend.

Good morning, LEAPers!  Let's wake up from that summer slumber and start the new school year with an exciting writing challenge! Whether you prefer to write a short story, poem, or journal, we want to hear about your summer experiences or about your feelings of walking through the ACS halls again. The Haldimand Huskies Basketball Club is holding tryouts for U15, U16 and U19 boys rep teams for the 2023-24 Ontario Basketball League season.  Tryouts take place on Sept 12th and 14th at Hagersville Secondary School. More information and athlete registration at haldimandhuskies.ca.
