Attention Lions!  Spirit wear orders are ready to be picked up! At this time, we have order numbers 475-544. Please come to the student council office on your lunch to pick up your order.

Attention all grade 9 students. Colour Night is TOMORROW! Today is the last day to get your tickets so don't forget! For tomorrow, you will be allowed to dress down all day in your team colour. Make sure you are wearing your wristband in order to participate in the day's activities. Please remember that outfits should adhere to school dress down guidelines. Athletic footwear and waterbottles are also recommended. Looking forward to a great event!

Tennis tryouts continue this week, weather permitting. Junior tryouts will be held Wednesday this week and Senior tryouts will continue on Thursday this week. Please come to the courts with your signed permission form, proper tennis attire and a racquet if you have one. Permission forms are available outside Room 3004.

A reminder to all volunteers who helped with the grade 9 We are Lions orientation-- please return your pink shirts to TLC and cross your name off the list before the end of the week. 

Did you take or are you planning to take grade 10 French last year or this year?  Then you are eligible for the French trip to Quebec City.  If you are not on the D2L page, send Mme. Rodger a message and get added for all of the information.

Do you find your toes tapping to a beat? Or that you can't stand still? Well, why not put your best foot forward and audition for "Footloose"? Sign up outside the drama room door for dance auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 19th. Lead role auditions must also signup on Wednesday, Sept. 20th for singing and acting. Choose only ONE of the select songs from the show and memorize a monologue of your own choosing. Any questions? Email or see Mrs. Ratelband or Mrs. Boschman for more information. Take a risk and get involved! You won't regret it!

Thank you Lions!  The food drive supporting the Salvation Army, is well under way, but the last day to help is THURSDAY of this week!  Students are asked to bring in, non-expired, non-perishable food items before Thursday.   Hygiene products will also be greatly appreciated.   Students are asked to donate foods like; cereal, children's snacks, peanut butter, tuna, spam, canned meat and more, canned tomatoes, rice, crackers etc.  Hygiene products can include; diapers, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps  The top 3 classes will win a prize. 1st place will get breakfast, 2nd will get cookies, and 3rd will get TIMBITS!!   Thank you for your donations and we look forward to a great collection!

Attention all STEM members .... and for those new to school, STEM is one of the largest clubs at Assumption, serving those interested in subjects like Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM meets once or twice a month to hear from guest speakers, participate in various workshops or to go visit scientific locations, either locally or internationally.
Mr. Page wants to inform you about FOUR important items.
1. The first STEM meeting will take place on Monday September 25th
2. Start looking for emails being sent to your school accounts with all the latest updates.
3. If interested in joining, drop by room 3005 to pick up a registration form.
4. There are still 3 spots available for the March break trip to Costa Rica & Panama. For more information, drop by room 3005 to pick up a package.

Good morning, LEAPers!  Let's wake up from that summer slumber and start the new school year with an exciting writing challenge! Whether you prefer to write a short story, poem, or journal, we want to hear about your summer experiences or about your feelings of walking through the ACS halls again. It is time to get back into the writing groove and let your creative writing abilities shine!  If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Czaplinska or Ms. Hynes, or check out the LEAP D2L page.
