Attention all CWAYC members. Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday September 26th in the lecture hall. During first lunch, the meeting will run from 11:40am to 12:00pm. During second lunch, the meeting will run from 1:00pm to 1:20pm. All those in attendance will earn one point. See you Tuesday!
Attention all students signed up - or interested in joining - the Environment Club. Please join us at our first meeting tomorrow, Tuesday September 26th , right after school, in Room 3024. It's all hands-on deck as we need to prep the school to begin our paper recycling program! If you are unable to attend but would still like to join the Environment club, email Ms. Walsh.
Attention all you singers out there! Vocal Ensemble is starting up on Tuesday, Sept. 26th. Even if you didn't sign up on club fest day, all are welcome! It's not too late to join! All grades, all experiences - come on out from 3 to 4pm in the music Room1154. See Mrs. Ratelband for more information and if you cannot make the first rehearsal.
There will be a boys baseball practice Tuesday, September 26th from 3:30-5:30 pm at Bill Little Park. Please let Mrs. Lytle or Miss Robitaille know if you cannot attend.
Attention grade 11 and 12 students interested in earning a Specialist High Skills Major. There will be a very important meeting on Wednesday at lunch in the lecture hall. Please plan to attend for the first 20 minutes of your lunch to get all necessary information. A SHSM is a great opportunity, come a find out all about!
The ACE Committee will be meeting on Thursday, September 28th during first lunch in Portable 1 and second lunch in Room 1003.
Hey Lions! Our Homecoming Dance is coming up on Thursday, October 12th. Ticket sales will begin next week, but NOW is the time to pick up guest forms if you plan on bringing a friend from another school. A reminder for new students: there is a limit of one guest per ACS student, and they must be enrolled in high school. Guest permission forms can be picked up in the main office and must be completed BEFORE a ticket can be purchased for them.
Attention students interested in joining the ACS swim team! If you missed us at Club Fest, there is a sign-up sheet posted outside of TLC. You do not have to be a competitive swimmer to join! Information sessions will be hosted on Thursday during first lunch and right after school in room 3007. Please see Ms. Ristov for more details.
Attention Grade 11 and 12 students! LEAP and the ACS English Department have booked a trip to Stratford, this October 11th, to see William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. If you're interested in seeing this play about gossip and the fallout, pick up a permission form outside of Room 1008 today.
Are you taking grade 10 French at some point this year or did you take it last year? Then you are eligible for the trip to Quebec! See Madame Rodger in the foods room if you are not on the D2L page or if you cannot see the deposit payment on school cash online. You must pay the deposit and hand in your permission forms in order to secure your spot! Please see Madame Rodger in the foods room if you have any questions or if you would like to fund raise by selling chocolates.
Attention all grade 9 students! Do you enjoy dances, coffee houses, and other special school events? Do you want to be a part of the planning process and contribute to making these events possible? If so, student council is for you. Applications are now available for GRADE 9 STUDENTS ONLY. Pick up your application in the main office today and make sure it is completed before the October 6th submission deadline. Looking forward to receiving your applications!
