1. Attention grade 9s. Colour Night is TONIGHT from 3-8pm! Here a few reminders for the event:
- At the end of the day, please place your belongings in your locker, and make your way immediately to the cafeteria to find your team. Grade 12 leaders will be there to help direct you. Please bring a water bottle and wear athletic footwear.
By now you should have your wristband with your team colour. You should be wearing this wristband today, and for the whole evening. If you did not receive your wristband yesterday, please speak to your homeroom teacher. Any additional questions or concerns can be brought to Ms Ristov in TLC at lunch.
- A reminder that this is a closed event. Re-entry will not be permitted for any student who chooses to leave the school early. As well, any students who are not participating in the event are asked to please leave the school at the end of the day and not to linger.
2. The guidance department is hosting a mandatory gr 12 meeting today during your period 2 Gr 12 class. If you have an online class, non grade 12 period 2 course or spare in period 2, you are to report to the lecture hall for the meeting. Important information from this meeting will also be posted on our Gr 12 D2L page.
3. Thank you to all who tried out for the Junior Boys Volleyball Team, the final list has been posted outside the female phys ed office and practice will start Monday next week after school in the gym. If you cannot attend, please let Ms. Moniz know
4. Brantford YMCA is excited to offer the Youth Fusion sessions again this school year. All newcomers aged 12-24 are welcome to join each Thursday from 4 -6 p.m. It’s free to join and no commitment is necessary. The first hour is dedicated to gym use and the second hour is for social activities. You can earn your 40 hours of community involvement just by attending. ** BUS TICKETS ARE PROVIDED** For more information or to register, visit TLC or the school website.
5. The boys' varsity baseball team has now been posted outside of portable 5. Thank you to all those that tried out. Our first practice will be Monday, September 16th at 3:30 pm at Bill Little field. See Mrs. Lytle in portable 5 if you have any questions. .
6. OPA! Were you hoping to travel to Greece over the March Break with the art department? Well, you are in luck - we still have a handful of spots remaining! See Ms. Benoit in room 2015 for an information package and enroll today! The last few spots are first come, first serve, so don't wait long to sign up or you may be disappointed. Also, attention to all those already enrolled in the trip, don't forget to bring your signed permission forms to Ms. Benoit ASAP.
7. Cross country training continues to practice tonight. Runners will meet at the picnic tables by the portables. Please ensure that you give your signed permission form to Mrs. Czaplinska-Mastromatteo or Ms. Gomez a.k.a the organized coaches. If you are interested in joining the team, please scan the QR code and pick up a permission form by the physed offices
8. Do you like to sing? Have you been secretly humming songs between classes? Is music a big part of your life? If you answered 'yes' to even ONE of those questions, then Vocal Ensemble is for YOU! We meet in the music room, #1154, for one hour, starting Tuesday, September 17th from 3pm until 4pm. ALL grades are welcome! See Mrs. Ratelband for more information!
9. Attention all girls interested in trying out for the field hockey team. The field hockey tryout dates have changed slightly. Tryouts continue on Thursday this week. Please sign up outside the phys. Ed office and pick up a permission form. Mouth guards and soccer shin pads are mandatory for tryouts and cleats are encouraged. For more information, come to the female phys. Ed office.

11. Do you like to crochet or knit? Do you wish to make a difference and get to know new lions? Come join the ACS Knit club run by Mrs. Cameron starting in October. 12. Attention Student Drivers: If you park in our school lot, please come to the Main Office to register your vehicle and receive your parking pass. Once you have received your parking pass, please display it prominently in your vehicle. You have until September 30th to register.
13. All lockers are to be secured with a school lock. Please ensure you are in the correct locker and it has a school lock to avoid your items being removed.
Cafeteria Special: Today's special in the servery will be Sauteed potato and cheddar cheese perogies, with caramelized onions with a side of fries for $6.50 or 6 perogies on their own for $5.50 with a side of sour cream.
