2. Do you wish to grow in your faith and in your understanding of the Bible? Then ACS Bible study is for you! Come to room 3029 at senior lunch tomorrow to share your faith in God's word. All are welcome."
3. Hey Lions! Amplify your Culture is back to ACS this year and will be held on October 7th during period 1. Every year Mrs. Torto's Social Justice class runs this special event to help enhance the culture of our school. So, if you LOVE your culture and would like to promote it to the school - this event is for you! We politely ask you to come to our first meeting on Friday September 20th. We will meet in the lecture hall during all lunches. so come out if you are interested and want to learn more. As a token of appreciation, participants will be invited to a free movie night after school the same day as Amplify. Hope to see you then!
4. Attention all new and returning STEM members: our first meeting will be this Thursday, September 19th at lunch in the lecture hall. Bring your lunch and a Loonie for a lanyard. We can’t wait to see you there!
5. Were you hoping to go to Greece with the art department over the March Break? Well, what are you waiting for? THERE ARE ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT! And when they are filled, anyone signing up will be automatically placed on the waitlist. Please see Ms. Benoit in room 2015 for more information. Those that have already enrolled in the Greece trip, make sure you bring in your signed forms ASAP and if you need to apply for a passport, that you are starting that process now.
6. All junior soccer players who Mr.Dyjack talked to have a mandatory meeting at 3 in the gym for their soccer tournament next week.
7. Senior Boys Rugby 7s players, please get your permission forms signed. We will be practicing next week Monday, Wednesday and Friday with practices starting at 3:50. If you do not have a permission form yet or have any questions please see Mr. Prior.
8. A list of those who have qualified for the AABHN golf tournament is posted outside of the boys and girls phys-ed offices. We will have a very quick meeting after school tonight in room 2060.
9. Come out and join CWAYC debate club. There will be an information meeting in the lecture hall after school tonight for ALL NEWCOMERS with details about how Parliamentary Style debate works. Contact Mrs. Flanagan in 1013 if you have questions.
10. Indigenous students are reminded to sign up in Student Services by Friday Sept 20th for the free Skilled Trades Day scheduled at The Gathering Place on Six Nations scheduled on Sept 25th.
11. Junior tennis practices continue tonight after school.
