1. We are just a few days away from Assumption Scares Hunger. Please be organized. Have your costumes, food and water ready for 4 pm and meet us in the caf then.
2. Last call for the School Council Volunteerism Award! Applications are due to the Main Office by 3:00 pm today!
3. Bonjour, everyone! Join us this Friday for our first French Club meeting of the year. We will explore the fascinating topic of La Toussaint! We'll discuss its significance, traditions, and how it's celebrated in France. See the posters around the school for more details. À bientôt!
4. This week is the absolute LAST week to enroll in the art trip to Greece over the 2025 March Break. If you want to go, see Ms. Benoit in 2015 for more information and enroll by Friday, November 1. Those that are enrolled, check the Brightspace/D2L regularly for important trip updates and details.
5. Do you have a musical talent that you want to showcase at this year’s fall coffee house? Any students interested in participating are asked to email a short video of their performance to Ms Ristov no later than November 1st. This event will take place the evening of November 14th. Looking forward to seeing your acts!
6. Thank you to all students that participated in this years quake debate club. The final debate on the resurrection of extinct species was awesome. Thank you to Wency Q and David G for their hard work judging debates. A very special thank you to Emily Wu for creating debate club and preparing each weeks debate. Emily’s leadership and amazing preparations created a fanaststic opportunity for students to develop and improve their thinking and speaking skills.
7. Today is PJ Pants day Lions! A reminder that you should still be wearing a uniform top. Tomorrow, switch things up by wearing a cozy knit sweater with your uniform bottoms. Hoodies are not permitted.
8. ACS Knit Club, we will meet this Wed, October 30th. Keep creating your scarves and blankets. The first batch of completed scarves for the shelter has been dropped off. Thank you for all you do. Mrs. Cameron
9. Quake is hosting the 'Thank A Vet' writing competition in honour of Remebrance day. In 500 words or less, explain why Canadian veterans should be thanked and honored? Submit your entry to the basket in the main office. The contest runs from Monday, October 28th to Friday, November 8th. Let’s show our appreciation for those who served!”

11. Vocal Ensemble is reminded of our extended rehearsal tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 29th from 3 until 4:30 due to parent teacher interviews. Message Mrs. Ratelband or Mrs. Morissette if you cannot attend.
