10.   Happy Diwali lions! The Ace Club would like to share some information with you about Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights.    Diwali is one of the most significant celebrations in Hindu, Jain, and Sikh culture and is celebrated widely all across India. Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It’s a time when families and friends come together to honor ancient traditions, sharing joy, love, and gratitude. The lighting of diyas during Diwali represents the inner light that protects us from spiritual darkness. The date of Diwali varies each year because it follows the lunar calendar, and this year it’s on Halloween!     Why is it celebrated? It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi visits clean, well-lit homes, bringing fortune for the coming year. This is why on the main day of the festivals, families perform Lakshmi Puja, praying for wealth, prosperity, and well-being.     Diwali also celebrates the return of Lord Rama, his wife Sita, and his brother Lakshman to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and after defeating the demon king Ravan.     Beyond its religious significance, Diwali is also a festival of renewal and reflection. Homes are cleaned, decorated, and illuminated to invite prosperity, while the exchange of gifts fosters a sense of community. It’s a reminder to cherish relationships, practice kindness, and embrace hope. Whether you're lighting a lamp, enjoying a feast, or participating in prayers, Diwali encourages us to reflect on our values and strive toward a brighter, more compassionate world.    Happy Diwali, and have a great day lions!
