1. What makes a better gift than a new book and gives back to your school library at the same time? A book fair! That’s what! The library and Beach Reads bookstore have teamed up to bring you the first ever online book fair! 20% of all purchases go right back to our school library. Visit beachreads.ca/lions or see a librarian for more details. The online book fair runs until Nov. 28th. Check out some of the books here in our own library. Happy book shopping, Lions!
2. The next meeting for the coding club is today in room 141 after school. See you there!
3. Attention Cadets, Scouts, and Guides—you are being invited on Monday to wear your uniforms on Monday as we celebrate Remembrance Day. Please sign up on the windows outside of the Main Office today.
4. Religion Study hall for grades 9-10 is held every Tuesday/Thursday in room 1004 run by Mrs. Cameron. Bring your lunch and come to get some help if needed. Hope to see you there!.
5. This is a reminder for all DECA members. Your pre-competition test is scheduled for this Thursday, November 7, after school in Room 2006. This is a mandatory test you must complete this Thursday after school in order to attend Sunday’s regional competition. Please see Mr. Virdo with any questions.
6. Let’s respect and help keep our community clean Lions. Please use the garbage cans when you are at the plaza or elsewhere on lunch. If you are walking back to school, please wait and use the garbage cans here at ACS. Let’s Keep Our Community Green and Clean.
7. Any Lion’s interested in community service hours by helping cleanup around ACS and the surrounding community please inquire with administration in the main office

10. D&D members we will hold a general meeting Tuesday November 12 in Room 2073 after school. If you cannot attend contact Mr. Hare. Potential Dungeon Masters see Mr. Hare in Room 2073 Thursday November 7 after school. If you cannot attend that meeting contact Mr. Hare as soon as possible.
11. Attention ACS Jack Chapter Members! Join us this Friday at 3:10 PM in the Lecture Hall for an important meeting! We’ll be recording one of our main videos of the year, so please be on time and come dressed in uniform or spirit wear.

12. If you love to debate and you are interested in global issues, the Quake model United Nations is the perfect activity for you. Come to an information meeting Friday at lunch in the Lecture Hall. Bring your lunch.
13. Lions, on Monday each student will be given a poppy. We are asking you to remember to bring in some money for a donation for the poppy. The money collected helps to support the armed forces community in many areas, such as mobility, housing and mental health. Teachers, the poppies will be delivered to you in period 1, please distribute them and return the left-over poppies and envelope of donations to the main office at any point on Monday.
