1. The first try out for Senior Girls Volleyball will be on Thursday at 3:00. Please scan the QR Code and bring a signed permission form with you.
2. ACS Knit Club. Meeting this week has been postponed. See you the following Wed Nov 20th same time and place. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Cameron
3. Dress down day is tomorrow Lions. Please remember your $2 donation. This months collections will go towards Pennies From Heaven. There will be bracelets, so please bring in your money. Teachers, as usual, your envelope will be dropped off to you in period 1, but please send a trusted student to the office with it, or drop it off on Prep. A special thank you to Mrs. Flewelling and Mrs. Tarrington in the main office who help us count all of this cash!
4. Super important REMINDER!!! Thursday is Marketplace! Teachers thank you for participating. This is such an integral part of our school tradition, as all monies raised will go towards Pennies From Heaven. Remember lions, there will be so much food, beautiful art, delicious candies, amazing crafts and awesome games. Please, please, please remember to bring some cash with you for THURSDAY!
5. Goos fries and homemade jollof will be sold for $2 a plate on Thursday at marketplace. There will also be an amazing jewelry table with necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, brooches and watches. Get great gifts for family and friends Nothing over $5.00. Bring cash.
6. Want to have beautiful nails and support a charitable cause? Pop into 1004 at junior lunch to get your nails painted for a suggested $2 donation. All proceeds go to Pennies from Heaven? Hope to see you there: Mrs. Cameron.
7. Wednesday is the last day to submit Model United Nations application forms to the quake bulletin board. There will be a mandatory meeting for all applicants Wednesday, at lunch, in the lecture hall.
8. The 180 Team is meeting this Thursday on the lunchtimes in the chapel.
9. What makes a better gift than a new book and gives back to your school library at the same time? A book fair! That’s what! The library and Beach Reads bookstore have teamed up to bring you the first ever online book fair! 20% of all purchases go right back to our school library. Visit beachreads.ca/lions or see a librarian for more details. The online book fair runs until Nov. 28th. Check out some of the books here in our own library. Happy book shopping, Lions!

11. Want a free 3-month YMCA gym membership? Sign up for the Y.E.S. program through the YMCA. Sessions run each Tuesday starting November 12- December 19 from 4-6. They provide bus passes, snacks, and community hours while you have fun and make connections with community members and learn about important topics like human trafficking and gang awareness. For registration info see the school website or visit TLC. Today is the last day to register.
12. A reminder that Model UN applications are due on Wednesday to the CWAYC bulletin board. There will also be a mandatory meeting for all applicants on Wednesday at lunch in the lecture hall.
13. The first junior girls volleyball try out will be today at 3:00. Please make sure you scan the QR code to sign up and bring a signed permission form with you.
14. The Community Living Class and Environment Club wish to thank Assumption staff and students for continuing to keep their classroom Paper Recycling bins free of ANY other material besides paper! Keep up the great work Lions!
15. The Environment Club will be meeting next Tuesday November 19th, at 3pm in Room 3024. Any current or new members are welcome to join! We will be discussing plans for wildflower planting, a clothing swap, and going outside for a school grounds garbage clean up.
16. Vocal Ensemble is meeting TONIGHT from 3-4:30 please sign up for taxi’s and book your way home for 4:30. See you then!
17. Math club will be postponed to next Tuesday. Students participating in the CIMC and CSMC math contests are to meet Mr. Stec in room 3011 after school today for an information and optional practice session.

19. Today's special in the servery will be Popcorn chicken mashed potato bowl topped with corn, mozzarella cheese and popcorn chicken and gravy for $7.00. Also available today will be popcorn chicken and fries for $7.50 and popcorn chicken poutine for $7.00. Unfortunately, we are unable to source the cups needed for the jet juice - so until we are able to supply the cups, we won't have any available.
