1. The 2023-2024 Yearbooks are still available to those who were absent yesterday. All students who paid their 2023-2024 registration fee can pick up at the back of the cafeteria TODAY during the first and third lunches. First period Co-op, Spare and Online students can go to the Library any time throughout the day to pick up. ACS Class of 2024 Graduates can pick up their Yearbook in the Main Office and can have a friend or sibling pick up on their behalf.
2. Welcome to the last 2 days before the Holidays! Today is the Night before Christmas day. Wear Matching PJ sets (no shorts or sweatpants!). A holiday movie will be played in the lecture hall on all 3 lunches today, and hot chocolate will be sold in the caf for $1. Tomorrow is the last day before the holidays and student council has loads of fun packed into our afternoon assembly. Do you want to see your teachers play volleyball? How about sing and play instruments? Or maybe dance? Dress in your Christmas best tomorrow and come check out all the fun we have in store.
3. Attention Gr 12 or 13 students who expect to graduate June 2025! Just a reminder that your 40 volunteer hours are due to student services by tomorrow! This deadline was given to you a few times since your grade 10 year.

Attention Graduates: Did you acknowledge, when you registered for Graduation, being an active participant in one of our local parishes namely Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Basil’s, St. Patrick’s Caledonia, St. Joseph’s or Blessed Sacrament? Check your school email and then check out the grade 12 D2L page, print off the application, complete it over the Christmas Break and be sure to get the priest’s signature. It is due to Mrs. Fergus no later than the end of the school day on Monday January 13th, 2025.
5. The 180 Team is meeting today on the lunchtimes in the chapel.
6. Jack Chapter’s 4th Annual Post-Christmas Karaoke Night is happening, and you’re invited to belt your heart out - or at least try.... on Friday, January 10th, from 6–9 PM in the ACS cafeteria! For just $5, you get a night packed with karaoke, pizza, games, and prizes—basically everything your Friday night dreams are made of. But wait, there’s more! Simple Little Artsy will be selling handmade goodies, and the proceeds will go toward Jack Chapter initiatives. Tickets are cash only and will be sold at the back of the caf on all three lunches. Look for the commotion and the ticket-sellers channeling their inner Elvis, shouting, “Five bucks, one night, all shook up with fun!”

8. This Thursday's FIT club meeting is cancelled. We will resume after the Christmas break. We look forward to seeing you back in the gym in the new year!
9. New York, Neeeeew York! Enrollment is open for the 2026 ACS Arts trip to NYC and spots are already filling up fast! To ensure you don’t miss out, and save $100, enroll as soon as possible! Spots are first come, first served and when they fill up, new enrollees will be added to a waitlist. For more information, see Ms. Benoit in room 2015!
10. The senior boys basketball team added another easy win to their season against McKinnon Park. They only gave up 9 points in the first half and ran the court to put the game away, winning 83-35. Shout outs go to Yuvraj and Cicci for their hustle, Andrew and Ryan for taking the lead on points. Our last game before the break is tonight at home against PJ! Come out and support the boys!
11. Today's special in the cafe will be a simpler menu - fries, poutine, burgers and chicken nuggets and strips. Very sorry that our cookies are not the ones you are used too- but they were all that was in stock and unfortunately, we are stuck with them until mid-week of the first week back. We will be closed on Friday for service, so all the cafeteria staff wish you a Very Merry Christmas. See you in 2025!!!
