1.   We want to thank Mr. Faieta for his continued commitment and contributions to ACS and wish him all the best at SJC in Sem. 2.  We will miss you Mr. Faieta, and we know you will always be a LIon at Heart.

2.   Exams start tomorrow.  Good luck on your exams.

3.   The library will be closed on exam days and that means so will the cell phone locker. Please make alternate arrangements to charge your cell phone.

4.   This is a friendly reminder for those who still have overdue library books. Please return them to the basketball dropbox located just inside the library doors as soon as possible. To receive your Semester 2 textbooks, ensure all overdue books are returned. If any books are lost or damaged, please pay for them in cash. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask a librarian. Let's work together to get those overdue books back where they belong!

5.   St. Basil’s Parish is giving out information packages for those wanting to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and/or become Catholic. If you would like to know more information, please contact Mr. Prior.

6.   Valentine’s day is just around the corner! Starting the first day of semester two, buy your special someone a carnation and hersey’s chocolate for $3. Sales run Feb 3rd to Feb 11th at the back of the caf on all three lunches. Carnations will be delivered to period 4 classes on Valentine’s day.

7.   Any student not returning to ACS for semester 2, you are encouraged to donate your uniform items to TLC. Make sure to see Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Bednarz to get a ballot for each item. You could win some fantastic prizes. The draw takes place at the end of semester 2.

8.   Mrs. Cameron would like to thank the ACS Knit Club on all their hard work and love put into many projects this semester. The difference you make in lives of ordinary people does not go unnoticed. Our recent drop off at the Nova Vita was received with much appreciation. Members, please check your Outlook for an important email. We will resume our meetings in the next semester. New members are welcomed. Mrs. Camron.

9.   Semester 2, it’s happening: ACS’ Got Talent. Enough said.

10.  Happy Pongal, Lions!    The Ace Club is excited to share some insights about Pongal, a vibrant harvest festival celebrated in January by people of Tamil Nadu in South India, and Tamil communities worldwide!  Pongal marks the end of the winter solstice and the beginning of the Sun’s northward journey, symbolizing new beginnings, prosperity, and gratitude for nature’s blessings.  While Pongal has roots in Hindu traditions, it is also a cultural celebration embraced by people from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. It’s a time to honor the Sun God, Surya, appreciate the hard work of farmers, and come together as a community to celebrate abundance and hope.

11.  Today's special in the servery will be Cheeseburger and Fries combo topped with onions, pickles or tomatoes for $7.75.   Just a reminder that the servery will be closed during exams!

Good luck on your exams Lions!
