1. Assumption Cares is coming. We’ll be raising money for St. Vincent de Paul, fasting for 24 hours, and having some fun here at school. All participants get 10 hours of community service. Come to the lecture hall to find out more. That’s Tuesday at lunch.
2. Mr. Duff and Mrs. Fergus are pleased to announce the 13, YES, 13 amazing candidates for the 2025 Valedictorian. Those 13 are: Shanzay and Abbey and Morgan and Aneri, and Country and Maxima and Jorga and Divya and Maddy and Ella and Shriyak and David and Ritu. Their essays, posted on the glass wall outside of the Main office, are there for you to read so you can make an informed decision. Electronic voting, for grade 12s only, takes place on Wednesday March 5, from 8AM to 3PM.
3. Attention students looking for volunteer hours! There is a need for 15-20 students to join the 10th Annual Brant County Tree Plant on Saturday, April 26th , from 9am to 1pm at the Mount Pleasant Nature Park. You will work with certified Foresters on this important environmental restoration project - and also receive a free lunch for your time! Sign up by yourself or get a group together! Email or see Mrs. Walsh in Room 3024 by this Friday to join - don't miss out!
4. Are you looking to earn community hours this semester? If you are availabe from 3-4 daily, email Mrs. Cameron. She is looking for a reliable and trustworthy student to help her tidy her classroom at the end of the day in room 1004. Email her if interested in this opportunity.
5. The ACS Prefect Program is looking for new members to join our team. This only happens once per year, so listen up: Have you heard the call to serve, to help, to give back, but you're not sure how to do it? As an ACS Prefect, you can help others with their homework, mentor new students, or help around the school AND you earn community service hours for every minute you serve as a Prefect. The Prefect Program opens doors and creates new opportunities for you. If you'd like to learn more about who we are, what we do, and to pick up an application to join, mark your calendar and please attend one of our mandatory information sessions during your lunch in the Lecture Hall on Mon. March 3. We look forward to meeting you.

7. LEAP is thrilled that Hailey DeDominicis will be in the lecture hall This Wednesday during senior lunch only. She will be sharing her writing experiences, focusing primarily on her script turning into a screen play turning into a 2024 Netflix movie called “Our Little Secret”. If you are in grades 9 or 10, sign up for a free ticket to attend. See the sign-up sheet on the door of room 1009. Tomorrow Tuesday, is the last day to sign up.
8. Attention all STEM students. The STEM Olympics are back. Form a grade level team of up to 4 students and sign up outside of room 3005. STEM Olympics will run from March 18 to March 21. Your team will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of STEM challenges and to be STEM Olympics Champions.
9. Buy your tickets to “In Our Assumption” Era dance for Friday, February 28th. Join us in the cafeteria from 5:30-8:00pm. Tickets are on sale now for $13.00 on School Cash Online and this includes pizza, popcorn, drinks, cotton candy and cookies! Spirit wear is now available on School Cash Online! 10. Junior Badminton players you have practice tomorrow morning at 7:15am.
11. Do you have talent such as painting, singing, acting, dancing or playing an instrument? Well then we need you to participate in “Assumption’s Got Talent”. There are prizes awarded to the top 3 finalists who perform in front of a live audience. If you have what it takes to take the Assumption Stage then submit your talent via video to nratelband@bhncdsb.ca no later than Thursday, March 6th by midnight! The adjudicators will choose the top ten to perform on Thursday, March 27th!

16. Senior Badminton Practice after school today, Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00. Wednesday is our first Match against Paris. Practices will continue after school Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays. Thank you and Congrats to all those who made the team.
