1.   On Friday, Assumption sent two teams to represented ACS in the Mc Master Materials Science Olympics. Our all Grade nine team, did a fantastic job and were the youngest team ever to compete.  Well done, Jayden, Alek, Eric and Colin. Our second team, in their sophomore performance, received The DOMESDAY Metallic Runner up Award. Great job,  Shriyak, Max, Sajid and Arham.   Thank you to Mr. Dobrowolski and Mr. Sitko for all of your help and leadership.  

2.   Today’s the day.  Assumption Cares registration is happening in the lecture hall at lunch.  Come out and find out if Assumption Cares is right for you! 

3.   Tomorrow is the day.  The Waterloo math contest will begin tomorrow morning at 9:00am in the library.  We will be meeting today, after school, in room 3011 for one last info session as well as contest practice.  If you have any questions, be sure to contact Mr. Stec.  Hope to see you there and good luck! 

4.   Attention students looking for volunteer hours! There is a need for 15-20 students to join the 10th Annual Brant County Tree Plant on Saturday, April 26th , from 9am to 1pm at the Mount Pleasant Nature Park.  You will work with certified Foresters on this important environmental restoration project - and also receive a free lunch for your time! Sign up by yourself or get a group together! Email or see Mrs. Walsh in Room 3024 by this Friday to join - don't miss out! 

5.   Spring Sports are right around the corner, if you are interested in trying out and playing for the rugby or soccer teams please sign up using the QR code by the Male and Female PhysEd offices.  

6.   The ACS Prefect Program is looking for new members to join our team.  This only happens once per year, so listen up: Have you heard the call to serve, to help, to give back, but you're not sure how to do it? As an ACS Prefect, you can help others with their homework, mentor new students, or help around the school AND you earn community service hours for every minute you serve as a Prefect.  The Prefect Program opens doors and creates new opportunities for you. If you'd like to learn more about who we are, what we do, and to pick up an application to join, mark your calendar and please attend one of our mandatory information sessions during your lunch in the Lecture Hall on Mon. March 3.  We look forward to meeting you. 

7.   ACS knit club, hope everyone can join us this Friday from 3-4 pm in room 1004 for our weekly meeting. Email Mrs. Cameron if you can’t make it. New members welcome. 

8.   Reminder of yoga tonight on the stage. Newcomers are always welcome! Pick up a permission form from in front of 1034  

9.   Got the travel bug? Looking to explore new places? STEM member or not, we're super excited to invite you and your parents to a meeting about our March Break trip to Germany and Switzerland in 2026! Join us tonight, Tuesday, February 25th at 7 pm, to hear details including a tentative itinerary, safety highlights, and the impact of world travel. Come to room 3005 to grab a slip with more information. We hope to see you there! P.S. This is a recruitment meeting - if you are already signed up for the trip, your attendance is not required. 

10.  Are you looking to earn community hours this semester? If you are availabe from 3-4 daily, email Mrs. Cameron. She is looking for a reliable and trustworthy student to help her tidy her classroom at the end of the day in room 1004. Email her if interested in this opportunity.  

11.  Do you have talent such as painting, singing, acting, dancing or playing an instrument? Well then we need you to participate in “Assumption’s Got Talent”.  There are prizes awarded to the top 3 finalists who perform in front of a live audience. If you have what it takes to take the Assumption Stage then submit your talent via video to nratelband@bhncdsb.ca  no later than Thursday, March 6th by midnight! The adjudicators will choose the top ten to perform on Thursday, March 27th! 
 

12.  All those who were in Star Fest please meet in the drama room on Friday, Feb. 28th for a brief meeting at 3:05pm sharp. If you cannot attend please let Mr. DaCosta or Ms. Ratelband know. See you then! 

13.  The French Club is meeting TODAY after school in room 3026.    Come for a fun time, sweet treats, and a touch of French romance! Bisous!  

14.  There will be an IMPORTANT YEARBOOK MEETING today after school. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Meneguzzi or Mrs. McLaughlin to receive important information. 

15.  It is not too late – the Arts 2026 New York City trip is half full! Claim your spot today by enrolling online. More good news – the early enrollment discount of $100 off has been extended until March 7th. Did you miss the first NYC information meeting? Don’t worry, we will be having another New York info session TOMORROW NIGHT at 7PM in the lecture hall. Come out then or see Ms. Benoit in 2015 for an info package today! 

16.  Today's  servery special will be Popcorn chicken mashed potato bowl topped with corn, chicken, mozzarella cheese and gravy for $7.00.
