1. Attention ACS students! Are you looking for volunteer hours in the Caledonia Area or a fun day with friends? The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Chili Cook-Off to support local charities on Saturday, April 26th from 4-8 pm at the Caledonia fairgrounds. ACS’s own Hungry Lion will be competing in the event. For contact information see the ACS webpage or come see Mr. Martorelli in the Hungry Lion.
2. Attention all STEM students. The STEM Olympics Have been moved to Monday 24th through to Thursday 27Th. Form a grade level team of up to 4 students and sign up outside of room 3005. Your team will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of STEM challenges and to be STEM Olympics Champions. This is your last chance to sign up!
3. Bank week for Assumption Cares is next week. You can hand in your $100 in pledges in the cafeteria any day next week except Wednesday, when we have our next meeting.
4. Think you know history? Test your knowledge in our upcoming History Trivia Competition taking place on Tuesday March 25th in the library, during all three lunches. With 30 questions covering everything from Canadian to ancient history, this is your chance to prove your skills and win prizes. Don’t miss out. Sign up now at the back of the caf on the quake bulletin board.
5. All mock trial teams must sign up for a mandatory after school help session. Please see the sign up sheet on the quake bulletin board outside student services.
6. Hey Lions, are you looking for a fun and cozy place to share your musical talent with others? If so, come join us for this year's Spring Coffee House on April 10th at 6pm. Send your audition to Ms. Ristov via email, at dristov@bhncdsb.ca by Friday, March 28th to perform.
7. Attention Prom Committee. Our next meeting is one week today on Friday, March 28th. We will meet on senior lunch in the lecture hall. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Mosher, Mrs. S. Medeiros or Mrs. Mastromatteo. See you there.
8. A reminder to all those who would like to join the ACS Prefect Team, your application packages are due in TLC before the end of today. No late applications will be accepted. We look forward to working alongside you soon, the ACS Prefect Program.
9. The final book publishing meeting will be held on Monday morning at 8:15 in the library’s innovation lab. Please bring any final copies not handed in yet and forms signed. We will go over all the final pages to confirm everyone’s entry and make sure all of you have signed the author page. See you Monday!
10. Friday's servery special will be Tomato soup or fries and grilled cheese with side of dill pickles for $6.50. Tomato soup for $4.00 or grilled cheese sandwich is $5.00. Nicer weather is here and freezies are back for $1.60 and butterscotch or chocolate ice cream sundaes for $1.65. Have a great weekend.
