1. WELOCME TO SCHOLARSHIP, BURSARY, & AWARD SEASON FOR THE CLASS OF 2025! Please make sure that you are checking in with your D2L Brightspace page regularly as several opportunities will be posted that require applications. Class of 2025, please remember that the Steadman Foundation Bursary award opportunity is open at this time. We have had many ACS College and University bound Lions benefit from this generous foundation over the years. Lastly to the Class of 2025, for some awards you will need reference letters. If asking a staff member for a reference, please complete the form on Brightspace and please note that staff members require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice to complete a letter of reference.
2. This is bank week for Assumption Cares Lions. Everyday this week you can drop off your pledges in the cafeteria at lunchtime, except Wednesday, when we meet in the lecture hall.
3. Did you miss out on the STEM McMaster Road Trip last semester? Don't miss this opportunity. Another Road Trip will be taking place April 23. See Ms. Borges or Ms. Sinclair for details or check the STEM D2L page for more info.
4. STEM Olympics begin today, teams are to arrive promptly at the start of lunch to their designated rooms. Grade 9: 3006, Grade 10 3003, Grade 11: 3005 and Grade 12: 3011.
5. Junior boys that are interested in trying out for the Varsity boys soccer team are reminded of their tryout tonight and tomorrow from 4:30-6 in the gym. Please see Mr. Dyjack or Mr. DaCosta if you cannot attend.
6. There will be a meeting for all students in the fashion show that still need a costume and for all those interested in marketing and promo. Please come to room 2060 at 3pm tomorrow, Tuesday March 25th.
7. Morning Lions! A reminder that yoga is tomorrow after school. We will meet at 3:15 for a “fit and flow class” to pop princesses. Wear comfy clothes and be prepared to move!
8. Hey Lions, are you looking for a fun and cozy place to share your musical talent with others? If so, come join us for this year's Spring Coffee House on April 10th at 6pm. Send your audition to Ms. Ristov via email, at dristov@bhncdsb.ca by Friday, March 28th to Perform.
9. All girls who tried out for the Varsity Girls Soccer team, please see the list posted outside the female Phys. Ed office. Those on the list, please come with indoor and outdoor shoes on Tuesday at 3:00 and be ready to practice ASAP!
10. Senior badminton practice will be held Thursday After School at 3:00.
11. Attention fashion show cast! There will be a practice for students in the cafe and stroll scene tomorrow at 3:15pm on the stage!
12. Today's special in the servery will be Chicken Alfredo on rotini with a side of garlic toast for $6.50 or without chicken for $5.50
