1. Attention Grade 11 Students! This Wednesday during period 1, Student Services is hosting a Career Day for you. We will have professionals representing the following sectors: The Arts, Business, Community Services, Health Care, Trades and Technology/Engineering. You will have an opportunity to speak with them about their profession and how to become qualified for it, etc. If you are a grade 11 student taking a non-grade 11 course, please talk to your homeroom teacher and sign up in student services by Tuesday.
2. OSSLT is coming up next week. If anyone would like some practice or tips and tricks, feel free to drop into TLC on your lunch today or Wednesday and ask for Mrs. Medeiros.
3. Attention all students enrolled in cooperative education next year, yes, next year. There will be a mandatory meeting held on Monday, April 7 in the lecture hall immediately after announcements. To ensure you will be properly placed, make sure you do not miss this meeting.
4. Did you miss out on the STEM McMaster Road Trip last semester? Don't miss this opportunity. Another Road Trip will be taking place April 23. See Ms. Borges or Ms. Sinclair for details or check the STEM D2L page for more info. Many students have signed up but not submitted forms. You must submit your signed forms in order to reserve your spot.
5. Attention all boys that have made the first round of cuts for the varsity boys soccer team: Your tryouts will continue Tuesday and Wednesday in the gym from 4:30-6pm. Please see Mr. Dyjack or Mr. DaCosta if you cannot attend a tryout.
6. The varsity girls soccer team will practice on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00. Please be prepared for both indoor and/or outdoor practice!
7. Attention! There will be a short meeting for all the boys in the fashion show cast AND all the backstage crew after school in the drama room at 3pm.
8. Want to win a free 3-month YMCA gym membership? If you are between 15-18 years old and need something to do Tuesday evenings, join the Y.E.S. program. The commitment is for 6 weeks from 4-6 p.m. For more information or to register, visit the school website or TLC’s bulletin board.
9. Attention all fashion show students! There will be a practice for all the boys in the cast and for the backstage crew today at 3pm in the drama room. This practice will be 15 minutes long so don’t be late!
10. Senior Badminton practice afterschool Monday (today) and Thursday, Match Wednesday against North Park. If you have any questions please see Mr. Dyjack!
11. Today's special in the servery will be Tomato basil red sauce with beef meatballs on penne pasta with a side of garlic toast for $5.50.
