1. Hey Grads! Those of you who missed photos or would like a retake, Edge Imaging has a pop-up studio scheduled for Friday, April 25 at St. Mark’s Church on Memorial Dr. in Brantford. Appointments can be booked, through the bookmygrad.ca website BUT you will have to click the option that states, “Book at an offsite studio location” and select Brantford Grade 12 Graduation. Please email Mrs. Mastromatteo if you have any questions!
2. Attention all students enrolled in cooperative education next year. If you missed the mandatory meeting held yesterday in the lecture hall, please stop by the cooperative education office on the second floor during your lunch break to ensure you will be properly placed.
3. April is National Poetry Month, and LEAP is hosting a special lunch presentation featuring the talented, published poet and former grad, Ram-neek Pan-chee on Thurs. April 17th in the lecture hall. Grade 10 students and seniors are invited to attend on their lunch, and Grade 9 students can join too by signing up in the library. Attendees will earn 1 LEAP point.
4. Head to the library until April 23rd, Shakespeare’s birthday, to test your skills at guessing whether a line is from Shakespeare or Taylor Swift. Guess at least 2 out of 3 correctly, and you'll be entered for a chance to win one of three Amazon gift cards! The contest runs until April 23rd, Shakespeare's birthday, so you have plenty of time to participate.
5. Any student interested in joining our 16th Annual Earth Day Tree Planting, on the afternoon of Tuesday April 22nd, is welcome to pick up a permission form from the QUAKE board beside student services. Return the signed form to Mrs. Walsh in Room 3024 on your lunch! First come first serve until the bus is full!
6. Yoga club is cancelled for this evening. See Mrs. Charnish-Currie if you are available to practice tomorrow, Wednesday April 9.
7. Attention all Boys interested in playing LACROSSE.
8. First practice will be tomorrow (Wednesday April 9th) after school. Permission forms outside the male phys. Ed office. You must provide your own equipment.
9. Attention Senior Badminton Players. You should be at St. Johns tomorrow no later than 8:00am, warm ups will start at 7:30am. See you tomorrow.
10. Students going on the Automation SHSM Trip on Wednesday – Please meet in the Auto Class before 9am
11. Are you looking for a fun, relaxing night filled with music, delicious treats, and good company? If so, then coffee house is the place to be! Come on out Thursday April 10th at 6pm for a night packed with entertainment. Tickets are for sale on school cash online for $8. See you there!
12. Hey Lions: Don’t forget about our LEAP guest speaker on Wednesday during senior lunch in the lecture hall. Grade 9 and 10 students must sign up, before end of day today, for an exit slip. The list is outside of room 1009.
13. Attention Prom Committee. We are going to have a meeting tomorrow during senior lunch in room 1007. See you there.
14. Math club is cancelled for today. We will resume next Tuesday.
15. Today's special in the servery will be Mexican loaded fries or nachos topped with tex mex beef, salsa, cheese sauce ,sour cream and green onions for $7.75. Plain nachos and cheese for $4.99 as well.
