1. Attention Grade 9’s. After school math tutoring has started. In the library from 3-4 every Tuesday and Wednesday. Come out and get some extra help.
2. Listen up lions, please make an effort to keep our school clean. There has been an increase in wrappers on the ground let's keep our school beautiful. Show respect to our space and our caretakers. Thank you.
3. Attention grade 12 students: Have a fun day with your friends in the beautiful outdoors at Camp Marydale at the grad retreat on May 20th. For more details see the poster and permission form posted outside the chaplaincy office. The cost for the day is $25. The deadline to pay online is May 5th. All grade 12 students are welcome!
4. We have a Volunteer Hours Opportunity to help Blessed Sacrament Church in Burford. They are hosting a function on Saturday, May 3 from 10-6. If you are interested, please check out the poster on our Volunteer Board near Student Services!
5. Today is the last day to play Shakespeare vs. Taylor Swift, so head to the library and test your skills at guessing whether a line is from Shakespeare or Taylor Swift. Guess at least 2 out of 3 correctly, and you'll be entered for a chance to win an Amazon gift card! Winners will be announced tomorrow on ATV and will earn a LEAP point and win 1 of 3 Amazon gift cards. Don't miss out on this exciting challenge!
6. Dear ACS Knit Club, We do not have a meeting this week. Our next meeting is Wed, April 30th from 3-4 in room 1004. Continue to current projects. Thank you. Mrs. Cameron
7. Mrs. Cameron’s classes: please remember to bring gently used books/toys for our Nigerian refugee family with children ages 3 and 4. Any other students who wish to drop off donations, bring them to room 1004. A box will be placed outside the classroom.
8. The 180 Team is meeting tomorrow in the chapel on the lunchtimes.
9. Attention both boys and girls rugby players: Today is the LAST day to order spirit wear. Please submit both the digital order form and make the payment on SchoolCash Online to complete your order. Again, today is the last day to order rugby spirit wear!
10. Earth day fact: Did you know that an IQAir report, suggested that just seven countries in the WORLD met the World Health Organization's air quality guidelines in 2024. Canada was NOT one of them! Canadians need to work harder in becoming a leader in caring for our Earth.
11. Today's special is Pancakes and Bacon for $5.50. Sushi is available in the server.
SPORTS:
1. There will be a short, mandatory meeting on April 28th for anyone wishing to play Junior or Senior Football in 2025. The meetings will take place at the start of each lunch period in the lecture hall. Gr 10 - 11:45am, Gr 9 - 12:25pm , Gr 11 & 12 - 1pm . Please make sure you attend.
2. Yesterday, The Senior Boys Rugby Team began their season with a 24-5 win against North Park. Lynx led the way with 3 tries, TK also scored a try. Liam and Fayo each kicked a convert. Josh and Wes were tackling monsters.
3. Our Junior Boys Rugby team also started off the season with a W, by securing a 24-0 win against North Park. Aiden B bulldozed through NPC for 2 tries, while Kelechi and Zander each scored one. Loope kicked 2 converts. Shout outs to Cecil and Spencer for their strong defensive play and dominant runs
