1. Congratulations to all the students on an outstanding job in the fashion show! Your creativity, confidence, and teamwork truly shone on stage and made the event a huge success. You all brought an amazing energy to the catwalk and backstage! Bravo!
2. Attention Grads! Check dates for Scholarships. McMillen Scholarship is due today, Stedman Applications are due April 30. Don’t miss out on your chance to receive funds for post-secondary.
3. Hey Grads! Those of you who missed photos or would like a retake, Edge Imaging has a pop-up studio scheduled for TOMORROW Friday, April 25 at St. Mark’s Church on Memorial Dr. in Brantford. Appointments can be booked, through the bookmygrad.ca website BUT you will have to click the option that states, “Book at an offsite studio location” and select Brantford Grade 12 Graduation. Please email Mrs. Mastromatteo if you have any questions!
4. Attention Grade 12’s. Prom tickets go on sale starting next week on Monday, April 28th. The cost of each ticket is $80 per person and can be purchased on SchoolCash Online. If you are bringing a guest from another school, be sure to pick up a guest form from the main office. Make sure you get your tickets before they sell out. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Matromatteo.
5. Listen up lions, please make an effort to keep our school clean. There has been an increase in wrappers on the ground let's keep our school beautiful. Show respect to our space and our caretakers. Thank you.
6. We have a Volunteer Hours Opportunity to help Blessed Sacrament Church in Burford. They are hosting a function on Saturday, May 3 from 10-6. If you are interested, please check out the poster on our Volunteer Board near Student Services!
7. Earth Day Fact: Did you know that close to 8 million metric tons of plastic go into the ocean annually. The Great Garbage Patch is twice the size of Texas! These plastics will be here for decade, please do your part and recycle!
8. Mrs. Santos and Mrs. Engell want to thank everyone who played the Taylor Swift vs. Shakespeare contest. Three lucky winners were drawn and each will receive an Amazon gift card. And the winners are…drum roll please…Hydee Hill, Zara Nehar, and Isabella Rosales. Congratulations! Please come down to the library after ATV to claim your gift card and have your picture taken for the yearbook.
9. The 180 Team is meeting today on the lunchtimes in the chapel. New members are always welcome.
10. Hello Track and Field Athletes, If you wish to be apart of the track and field team make sure you sign up on the computer for the events you wish to compete in. You can sign up by coming to see Mr. Mitchell during Period 1 or Period 2 in room 2063, or at practice. Practice for this week will be starting at 3:15 on Wednesday and Thursday. Sprinters can practice with Marcus at 4:30pm Thursday. High jump will start today at 3:15pm.
11. Mrs. Cameron’s classes: please remember to bring gently used books/toys for our Nigerian refugee family with children ages 3 and 4. Any other students who wish to drop off donations, bring them to room 1004. A box will be placed outside the classroom.
12. Thursday's special in the servery will be Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls on rice with oriental veggies for $6.50.
