Morning Announcements

Attention Lions.  The following bus routes will be leaving at noon during the Grades 9 to 11 exam days.  Bus Routes 18, 18A, 725, 730, 733.  All other bus routes will be leaving at their regular scheduled times.

Attention all music students: this is a reminder to have you instrument returned to the music room by this Monday, June 17.  Instruments will be checked over to see if any repairs need to be made over the summer.  Students wanting to take an instrument home over the summer must submit a $200 deposit cheque and signed form.  Please see Mr. G. for any questions.

The Brantford Italian Village is looking for volunteers to help in the evenings from July 3rd to 6th. If you interested in volunteers and/or looking for more information, please contact Mr. Prior.

If you are interested in helping with the grade 9 orientation day in August, Mrs. Medeiros and Mrs. Bednarz will be having a meeting during both lunches on Wednesday June 12.  This is a great opportunity to meet our new grade 9's and get some community hours. 

Attention all graduates!! If you did not receive your grad gown last week, The PAL class will be coming to your class today to attempt to redeliver your gown. Beginning this Wednesday, June 12th all gowns will be placed in the main office. At that time, it will be your responsibility to pick up your gown in the main office before the grad ceremony. 

Attention Lions!  Our next Casual Dress Day is on Wednesday, June 12th.  Students can bring in $2.00 to dress casually with all proceeds going towards our uniform assistance program.

Graduating students...want to win some swag?  Donate your uniform pieces to TLC. Earn a ballot for each item donated that is in good shape.  Draw will take place at the Grad Lunch on Wed June 26th. Any non-grad winners will be contacted via school email.  Prizes to be won are Apple Airpods, Stanley Tumbler, and various gift cards. 

Today's special in the cafeteria will be Mac and Cheese with a side of garlic toast for $5.25.  Homemade milkshakes are available today closer to lunch for $3.65.  Have an awesome day Lions!

June is Indigenous History Month.  On Monday, June 10th, we will have an Orange Shirt Day.  Students may replace their uniform top with an orange shirt on Monday.

CWAYC will be hosting the final Debate Club session TODAY in Room 1013.  The debate will run from 3pm to 4pm.

The Bible Study Club is meeting today! First lunch in the Chaplain’s office and in Room 3029 for second lunch.  The club is open to everyone, and new members are always treasured. Teachers are encouraged to come too!

There is no Jack Chapter meeting today. Please check your emails this weekend for details of our final meeting. Thank you and have a mentally healthy weekend.

The Guidance Department is currently working to resolve course conflicts students have in their schedule for next year.  Teachers:  we ask that you please be diligent in handing out appointment slips this week so that we can meet students who need their courses altered.  Students:  if you get an appointment slip, please attend your appointment on time.  Students who previously signed into their counsellor's book will be seen later this week.  Thank you for your patience!

Attention all Health and Wellness SHSM students, the trip you have been waiting for is here! Please pick up trip forms for the human anatomy lab in Room 2029 or on the SHSM website. Forms are due TODAY to Mrs. Farrell. ONLY grade 11s can attend due to early grade 12 exams. 

Hey Lions! TODAY at 1:00pm, join us in the Innovation Lab for a conversation with author of Scythe and Gleanings, Neal Schusterman.  All in attendance will receive one LEAP point.  Sign up today in the library.  All students are welcome to attend but if you have class at 1:00, you must have your teacher's permission.  Please note - the location is in the Innovation Lab.
