Monday, June 17th, 2024
Grade 12 Exams run this week from 9am until noon on the third floor. If students need to access their lockers on the third floor, they may do so quietly. Good luck to all our Grade 12s writing exams today.
Attention all music students: this is a reminder to have you instrument returned to the Music Room by this Monday, June 17. Instruments will be checked over to see if any repairs need to be made over the summer. Students wanting to take an instrument home over the summer must submit a $200 deposit cheque and signed form. Please see Mr. G. for any questions.
Attention Lions. All lockers must be cleaned out by noon on Wednesday, June 26th. Please remember to take your lock with you for the summer. All items left in lockers after the 26th will be donated to charity or thrown out. Thank you for your help with our lockers.
Lions, please ensure that you return the textbooks that were assigned to you at the beginning of the semester. All textbooks need to be returned by the day of your exam. If you have lost your textbook, please talk to your teacher about plans to reimburse the lost textbook.

Today is the Bible Study Club’s last meeting! Come join us as we explore God’s promises of guidance for those who put their trust in Him. We’ll be in Mrs. Sheldrake’s office – Room 2053 – during first lunch, and in Room 3029, second lunch. And as Hebrews says, “let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near”.

If you are interested in helping with the grade 9 orientation day in August, Mrs. Medeiros and Mrs. Bednarz will be having a meeting during both lunches on Wednesday June 12. This is a great opportunity to meet our new grade 9's and get some community hours.
Attention all graduates!! If you did not receive your grad gown last week, The PAL class will be coming to your class today to attempt to redeliver your gown. Beginning this Wednesday, June 12th all gowns will be placed in the main office. At that time, it will be your responsibility to pick up your gown in the main office before the grad ceremony.
Attention Lions! Our next Casual Dress Day is on Wednesday, June 12th. Students can bring in $2.00 to dress casually with all proceeds going towards our uniform assistance program.

June is Indigenous History Month. On Monday, June 10th, we will have an Orange Shirt Day. Students may replace their uniform top with an orange shirt on Monday.
CWAYC will be hosting the final Debate Club session TODAY in Room 1013. The debate will run from 3pm to 4pm.
The Bible Study Club is meeting today! First lunch in the Chaplain’s office and in Room 3029 for second lunch. The club is open to everyone, and new members are always treasured. Teachers are encouraged to come too!
There is no Jack Chapter meeting today. Please check your emails this weekend for details of our final meeting. Thank you and have a mentally healthy weekend.

Do you have plans TONIGHT? Are you a dancer at heart? Or do you just want to witness the talent and artistry of ACS’s very own students? Why not come out to celebrate the Gr. 11 and 12 Dance Class as they present their showcase “One Last Time”. This show will feature 30 dancers in over 20 routines ranging from Hip Hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical to cultural dance. Admission is “Pay What You Can” at the door and money collected will go to support ACS’s fundraiser for Haiti. Doors open at 5:30pm and show starts at 6:00pm. Lions, if you are between the ages of 12-15, the YMCA has a great offer for you. The Y.E.S. program (Youth Engagement Series) is offered each Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm at the Y. After completion, you will receive volunteer hours as well as a complimentary 3 month YMCA membership. Attend the 6 week program and learn about various topics offered by Brantford Police Services. Snacks are provided as well as transportation if necessary. If interested, please check the school website for more details or the bulletin board in TLC.
