Morning Announcements

Hey Grade 12 Lions!  Colour Night tickets will be on sale TODAY and TOMORROW.  Only $5 a ticket at the will be at the back of the caf!  The event is on May 10th from 4:30 to 8:00pm.  All the money raised goes towards our Hope for Haiti campaign.  Pizza and snack bags will be for sale at the event!  See you there grade 12s! 

After careful consideration and review, our ACS Prefect Program is pleased to announce that we've selected our successful new-prefect-recruit candidates.  If you've applied to become an ACS PREFECT, we ask that you check your school email before Friday to read the welcome message and follow the next steps as you begin your 2-month internship @ Prefect.  Thank you to all those who expressed interest this year.  Sincerely, the ACS Prefect Program.

Attention Grade 12's! Prom tickets are on sale until May 10th! You must pay for your Prom ticket using School Cash Online. The cost of the ticket is $75 per person.  THEN starting on Thursday, May 9th, you can begin picking up your physical ticket. Please bring your School Cash online receipt as proof of purchase to receive your ticket. When you pick up your ticket, you will also submit the names of all those who are sitting at your table. There is a MAX of 10 students per table.  A song request list will also be available during ticket pick-up. If you have any questions, please speak to Ms. Mosher or Mrs. S. Medeiros. 

Pride Month is fast approaching. Make sure you are prepared with your Pride spirit wear. T-Shirts are on sale for $25 plus HST and Hoodies are $40 plus HST. Names can be added for an extra $5. 

The Grand Erie District School Board is hosting their annual Rainbow Ball on Thursday, May 16th. The cost is $10 per person and includes transportation to Dunnville Secondary School, as well as snacks and drinks. See Ms. Nuhu or Ms. O'Sullivan for permission forms. 

ACS Students Council is proud to present this year's spring dance - Blooming into Spring. Ticket sales will begin next week on Monday, May 6th. If you are planning to bring a guest from another school, you MUST pick up and complete a guest form BEFORE you can purchase a ticket for your guest. Forms are available in the main office, so get yours today!

Attention Class of 2024!  We have a very generous new Award this year.  This award is in memory of Russell Willsher.  The recipient of this award will be a graduating individual who has applied to any accredited post-secondary program and who has exemplified determination through learning adversity.  Please see D2L for Award application and details.

If you are going to the STEAM Conference at Laurier tomorrow, check your email for important information.  You need to check in at the back of the cafeteria no later than 8:45am to get your registration package and board the bus.  Buses leave a 9 am.

The Brantford CYO Girls Basketball Annual Scholarship will be granted to two graduating female students who are entering university or college the following school year. There will be two $500 scholarships available each year.  See D2L for application details.

Welcome to Jersey Day Lions! A reminder that uniform bottoms and shoes must be worn with your jersey. Tomorrow we have a paid casual dress day in support of Haiti. Don't forget it is also a Western/Cowboy theme. Use this casual dress day to show of your spirit by dressing in theme. Please note that the dress down costs $2 whether you are dressed in theme or not.

All STEAM Conference payments and permission forms MUST be submitted by 3 pm TODAY.

Attention all members of Junior Band: reminder of today's practice after school in the Music Room.  Only 3 more rehearsals until we perform.

The GSA will be meeting TODAY. The first lunch meeting is in Room 1007 and the second lunch meeting is in Portable 15. We will also be staying after school today to paint our mural in Room 1007. 

The Rainbow Ball will be on May 16th this year at Dunnville Secondary School. The cost is $10 and transportation is provided. The theme is SPACE GLOW. Dress is semi-formal and ANYTHING THAT GLOWS! You need to register for this amazing event by April 30th with Ms. Nuhu in room 1007 or Mrs. O'Sullivan in portable 15. Everyone is welcome!

Attention grade 12's!  Are you worried about finances and paying for your post secondary education? OSAP can help! College and university bound students are encouraged to attend an OSAP presentation in the lecture hall on Thursday, April 25th at 1:00 pm. 

Opa! Did you miss the 2025 March Break Greece Trip information meeting? Well, don't worry! There will be 2 more chances to learn about this incredible experience. Come out and bring your parents or guardians to the meeting at Holy Trinity on Wed. Apr. 24 at 7PM or the meeting at St. John's on Thurs. Apr. 25 at 7PM.
