The Twelve Days of Christmas continues TODAY (Dec. 15th) with Christmas Flannel PJ Pants. Students can replace uniform bottoms with any flannel PJ pants. Uniform tops to be worn.
For the rest of the week:
Thursday, December 16th – Red and Green Day. Students can replace their uniform top with a red or green top. Uniform bottoms are required.
Friday, December 17th – Christmas Best Dress Day. Students are encouraged to wear their best dress up clothes. There are no uniform expectations for this day.
Don't forget about our meeting today for the French club. Grades 10 - 12 in rooms 2004 and 2005 and Grade 9 we will see you in portable 3!
The GSA is holding a special extended meeting today in the Lecture Hall from 11:30-12:45. Club members may attend with the permission of their teachers.
The 180 Team is meeting tomorrow on each of the lunchtimes for their Jingle & Mingle Christmas party . Come to the chapel during your scheduled lunch time and bring your lunch with you. New students are always welcome.

Items can be brought to Ms. Lancaster in the Girls PE office, or dropped in the collection bin in the main office. Please take a moment to ask friends and family if they have any donations. Check your closets and see if there might be something you can donate. Donations will be accepted until Tuesday Dec 14. Thank you Lions.

Often, Ms. Christie can be seen in the halls with her hands full carrying things from one part of the school to another. She would like to thank all the students who offer to hold a door or help her out throughout the day, it really means a lot to her.

Monday Dec. 13th will be a Causal Dress Day to support the Hickey Family who had a wheelchair stolen from their home. Students are to bring in two dollars to dress casually. Thank you for supporting this initiative.
Monday will be our first "Assumption only" STEM session. We have Blaire Flynn and Jenna Saffin from Canada's own SNOLAB - a world renown neutrino research station located deep underground in the Sudbury area. They will be appearing virtually during both lunches (11:30-12:30 & 12:45-1:45) in the Lecture Hall. STEM students are encouraged to sign up outside of room 3005 to participate in this event. Most students will only be missing a small portion of class time around their lunch hour. Don't miss out on this opportunity.

For $5.00, staff and students can purchase a turkey dinner which consists of white and dark turkey meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy. Meals will be individually packaged and delivered to students morning classes. There are other dietary options available (halal, vegetarian, vegan). Students are to purchase their turkey dinner tickets on School Cash. Ticket sales will end on December 8th.

A senior in our neighborhood is looking for a student to shovel snow for her this winter. She has a small driveway, sidewalk and porch that will need to be shoveled when it snows. It will only take about 30 mins. If you need community service hours you can do it for free. If you prefer to earn some cash she will pay $10 per day of work. The location is Webb Avenue which is a few blocks from our school. For more information see Mrs. Sheldrake, our chaplain in room 2053.

Beginning this Friday December 3rd, you will have the opportunity to show off your creative writing skills, responding to a variety of Christmas prompts. Please check the ACS LEAP D2L page for updates, details, and the prompts themselves. Most importantly, think like Charles Dickens, be innovative like Kevin, and believe like Buddy the Elf.

Bring the spirit of Christmas to youth who could use their spirits lifted and help make Christmas cards today. Join the 180 Team today on each of the lunch times. That's in the chapel at the beginning of your scheduled lunchtime. Bring your own lunch with you. Anyone is welcome to come. There will be lots of stickers and glitter glue to make your card a festive creation.
Attention Graduates: The $75.00 grad fee is due by the end of day, this Friday December 3. It is to be paid via School Cash on-line. Failure to meet that deadline could jeopardize your participation in all of the graduation celebrations.

A senior in our neighborhood is looking for a student to shovel snow for her this winter. She has a small driveway, sidewalk and porch that will need to be shoveled when it snows. It will only take about 30 mins. If you need community service hours you can do it for free. If you prefer to earn some cash she will pay $10 per day of work. The location is Webb Avenue which is a few blocks from our school. For more information see Mrs. Sheldrake, our chaplain in room 2053.
The ACS JACK.ORG Chapter invites students and staff to our very first Christmas Karaoke Night! This awesome event is taking place on Friday December 10th from 6-8 in the cafeteria! Due to Covid restrictions, we can only have a capacity of 100 students. Everyone is required to wear a mask unless one is performing a song and is socially distanced. Dear Leap-sters! Are you up for the challenge? ACS LEAP invites you to our Christmas Prompt Writing Challenge! Beginning this Friday December 3rd, you will have the opportunity to show off your creative writing skills, responding to a variety of Christmas prompts. Hey Lions! We are planning to bring back our traditional Turkey Dinner on the last day of classes (Dec. 17th). For $5.00, staff and students can purchase a turkey dinner which consists of white and dark turkey meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy. Meals will be individually packaged and delivered to students morning classes. There are other dietary options available (halal, vegetarian, vegan). Students are to purchase their turkey dinner tickets on School Cash. Ticket sales will end on December 8th.
