1.   Attention all students enrolled in cooperative education next year, yes, next year.  There will be a mandatory meeting held on Monday, April 7 in the lecture hall immediately after announcements.  To ensure you will be properly placed, make sure you do not miss this meeting.   

2.   Hey Lions:  On Wednesday April 9th, in the lecture hall during senior lunch, LEAP is presenting author, illustrator, designer and children’s media producer Mara Shaughnessy. She makes kids books, educational video games, and admits that she has turned her love of doodling into a lucrative business.  Grades 9 and 10 students must sign up for an exit slip from class; see the sheet outside of room 1009.  Last day to sign up is Tuesday April 8th. 

3.   The next ACS book club meeting will be held this Monday April 7 at 8:15am OR after school at 3:05pm in the Library’s Innovation lab. Both meetings will be the same, come at the time that accommodates your schedule the best. We will be discussing the upcoming trip, voting for your White pine nominated winner, books you are reading and more! Looking forward to seeing you there!  

4.   Are you looking for a fun, relaxing night filled with music, delicious treats, and good company? If so, then coffee house is the place to be! Come on out Thursday April 10th at 6pm for a night packed with entertainment. Tickets are for sale on school cash online for $8. See you there! 

5.   All Varsity Boys Soccer players on the list outside the Male Phys-Ed office are asked to attend an important but brief meeting right after school today in the gym. 

6.   There will be a Senior Co-Ed Volleyball Team meeting on Monday, April 7th, during Senior Lunch, in Room 1018. Please bring your signed permission forms if you have not done so already. 

7.   All Star Fest performers going to Nationals in May are reminded of their very important meeting after school today in the Drama Room. It should take 15 minutes. 

8.  Today's special in the servery will be Cheese Tortellini and Parmarosa sauce with a side of garlic bread for $5.50.

2.   OSSLT is coming up next week. If anyone would like some practice or tips and tricks, feel free to drop into TLC on your lunch tomorrow and ask for Mrs. Medeiros. 

3.   Attention Grade 11 Students! This Wednesday during period 1, Student Services is hosting a Career Day for you.  We will have professionals representing the following sectors:  The Arts, Business, Community Services, Health Care, Trades and Technology/Engineering.  You will have an opportunity to speak with them about their profession and how to become qualified for it, etc.   If you are a grade 11 student taking a non-grade 11 course, please talk to your homeroom teacher and sign up in student services by Today. 

4.   April is National Poetry Month, and LEAP is hosting a special lunch presentation featuring the talented, published poet and former grad, Ram-neek Pan-chee on Thurs. April 17th in the lecture hall. Grade 10 students and seniors are invited to attend on their lunch, and Grade 9 students can join too by signing up in the library. Attendees will earn 1 LEAP point. 

5.   Head to the library until April 23rd, Shakespeare’s birthday, to test your skills at guessing whether a line is from Shakespeare or Taylor Swift. Guess at least 2 out of 3 correctly, and you'll be entered for a chance to win one of three Amazon gift cards! The contest runs until April 23rd, Shakespeare's birthday, so you have plenty of time to participate.

Those of you who missed photos or would like a retake, Edge Imaging has a pop-up studio scheduled for Friday, April 25 at St. Mark’s Church on Memorial Dr. in Brantford.  Appointments can be booked, through the bookmygrad.ca website BUT you will have to click the option that states, “Book at an offsite studio location” and select Brantford Grade 12 Graduation. Please email Mrs. Mastromatteo if you have any questions! 

7.   Attention all boys that have made the first round of cuts for the varsity boys soccer team: Your tryouts will continue today and Wednesday in the gym from 4:30-6pm. Please see Mr. Dyjack or Mr. DaCosta if you cannot attend a tryout. 

8.   Yearbook Club, don’t forget about our weekly meeting today after school in Room 2028! See you there! 

9.   Attention all Fashion Show cast members!  There will be a FULL cast practice this Thursday in the drama room at 3pm.  If you don’t have a costume, please come to room 2060 tomorrow at 3pm.  We have a new batch of costumes that have arrived! 

10.  If you want to be part of our “Faith Over Fear” Faith Night taking place in May, please come to a meeting this Thursday during senior lunch in the lecture hall. We are looking for students who want to sing, plan an activity, give a faith testimony, help with the planning or just want to feel God’s presence that night. This is also open to our staff if you would like to take part in this amazing night. See you on Thursday.  

11.   ULTIMATE FRISBEE BEGINS!   For those students interested in trying out for this year's incredible ULTIMATE FRISBEE team, there will be a meeting tonight in the gym right after school.  If you have not registered for the try outs, please scan the code outside the GIRLS PE OFFICE.  Try outs begin tomorrow.  See Ms. Lancaster if you have any questions. 

12.   Today's special in the servery will be Chicken Quesadillas filled with chicken, salsa, mozzarella cheese, peppers and onions for $6.50.   Cheese quesadilla for $5.50.

1.   Attention Grade 11 Students! This Wednesday during period 1, Student Services is hosting a Career Day for you.  We will have professionals representing the following sectors:  The Arts, Business, Community Services, Health Care, Trades and Technology/Engineering.  You will have an opportunity to speak with them about their profession and how to become qualified for it, etc.   If you are a grade 11 student taking a non-grade 11 course, please talk to your homeroom teacher and sign up in student services by Tuesday.

1.   Today is the last day to get your pledges in for Assumption Cares.  If you haven’t handed them in by the end of today, you must see Mr. O’Brien in room 3011. Today is the last day to order your Assumption Cares T-Shirts on School Cash Online.  Please ensure you order today by 3PM.  All T-shirts will be distributed to students on April 2nd.

1.   Attention ACS students! Are you looking for volunteer hours in the Caledonia Area or a fun day with friends? The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Chili Cook-Off to support local charities on Saturday, April 26th from 4-8 pm at the Caledonia fairgrounds. ACS’s own Hungry Lion will be competing in the event. For contact information see the ACS webpage or come see Mr. Martorelli in the Hungry Lion. 

2.   Attention all STEM students. The STEM Olympics Have been moved to Monday 24th through to Thursday 27Th. Form a grade level team of up to 4 students and sign up outside of room 3005.  Your team will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of STEM challenges and to be STEM Olympics Champions. This is your last chance to sign up! 

3.   Bank week for Assumption Cares is next week.  You can hand in your $100 in pledges in the cafeteria any day next week except Wednesday, when we have our next meeting. 

4.   Think you know history?  Test your knowledge in our upcoming History Trivia Competition taking place on Tuesday March 25th in the library, during all three lunches.  With 30 questions covering everything from Canadian to ancient history, this is your chance to prove your skills and win prizes.  Don’t miss out.  Sign up now at the back of the caf on the quake bulletin board.

6.   Senior Boys Rugby, you have Practice Thursday in the gym from 3:00-4:30.     Junior and Bantam Boys, you have practice Thursday in the gym from 4:30-6.     All Rugby boys meet by the tennis courts at 3:15 for fitness 

7.   Est-ce que tu aimes la musique? Est-ce que tu aimes la musique française? If you took French Semester 1, or are enrolled in a French class this semester, you are invited to see Missy D in concert with the Modern Languages Department! Spots are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. See a French teacher ASAP for a permission form. 

8.   Attention all fashion show participants! There will be a mandatory full cast practice this Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the drama room. Please make sure you attend.  Check the D2L page to find out what scene you are in before practice. See you there! 

9.   Anyone interested in trying out for the fashion show MC, please come to room 2010 to see Mme. Beccari between 11:45 and 1pm today to pick-up a script.  Try outs will be this Wednesday after school the lecture hall.  If you can’t pick-up a script today, please email Mme. Beccari ASAP. 

10.  Thank you to those who came out to the Varsity Girls Soccer Tryouts before the break. There will be another tryout for those on the call back list on today @3:00 and tomorrow at 7:15am. Don’t forget your permission form! Please see coaches Cassano, Ferraccioli or Hynes if you have questions. 

11.  Today's special in the servery will be Chicken Quesadilla's made with chicken,salsa cheese and onions and peppers with a side of sour cream for $6.50.  Veggie quesdilla's for $5.50.
