Attention NTS cast and crew. A reminder of your mandatory LAST REHEARSAL tonight, from 3pm to 6pm. Some important information will be relayed at the start, so do not be late!

Hey Lions!  Wanna go on a safari?  LEAP is thrilled because this Friday March 31st, during both lunches, you can do just that, go on a safari. Our very own Ms. Haddad will be sharing her experiences as a co-owner of a Safari Company in South Africa.  Come and join us in the lecture hall, during your lunch.  

The countdown is on!  Only 3 days remain to get your talent submitted to ACS' Got Talent!! We're looking for all kinds of art - stand-up comedy, monologues, skits, dance, drawing, painting, photography, poetry, singing, playing an instrument, bands and even film commercials or film shorts. Prizes start at $100 and are catered to your art form.  Email Mrs. Ratelband by Friday, March 31st at midnight!! Believe in yourself!

The Spanish Club will meet on Thursday, March 30th in Room 2006 at the beginning of first lunch (11:40am).  All are invited. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Bender, Ms. Pacheco or Ms. Cassano. Gracias.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul needs our help. They have reached out to ACS and are in need of toiletry items. For this week, a toiletry drive will begin in your period 1 class. The following items are needed: bars of soap, body wash, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorant. If you do not have a period 1 class, please bring items to Ms. Mosher’s class, Room 1003. Thank you in advance for your support as we serve our community the way Christ has called us to.   

Have nothing to do at lunch?  Want to better yourself?  Looking for some help with building a resume that is noticeable? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then why not join the Youth Transitions Program? There is no commitment to join. Stay as long or as little as you like.  Addie and Janessa are Youth Transition Program leaders from the YMCA. They will be at ACS during both lunches to meet with you and offer their services.  If interested, go to TLC at the beginning of either 1st or 2nd lunch on Wednesday March 29th to investigate and participate.  All are welcome. 

NTS Drama Festival starts Wednesday! The festival features 2-3 plays a night including entries from Cayuga Secondary, St. John's, PJ, Hagersville Secondary, McKinnon Park,  and Waterford Schools. Assumption performs second on Thursday, March 30th.  Bring $10 cash to the Caledonia Fairgrounds and support the student run production! Box office opens at 5:15pm with the first show starting at 6p.m. Break a leg, Lions!

Today’s special in the cafeteria will be Mac and Cheese wiht a side of Garlic Bread for $5.00.  Have an awesome day Lions!

Attention Class of 2023!  There is a NEW Scholarship Opportunity.  The Schulich Builder Scholarships for Skilled Trades with amounts up to $40,000.  Schulich Builders are responsible, hardworking, dedicated people who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, meet college admission requirements, and are enrolling in a full-time, eligible skilled trade one-year certificate or two-year diploma program at a participating college starting in Fall 2023.  If you are interested and meet these criteria, please email Ms. Christie by FRIDAY MARCH 31, 2023

Attention all boys interested in playing Lacrosse.  There is a sign-up sheet outside the Male Phys. Ed office.  All players who wish to play must have their own equipment.  Permission forms can also be picked up beside the sign-up sheet on the board outside Mr. Petrella's office.

Attention Class of 2023!  Every year the Stedman Foundation Bursary helps a number of students in Brantford and Brant County pay for their post secondary education. A bursary looks at a student’s level of financial need and their academic success. Typically, bursaries do not require marks as high as those needed to win scholarships. The top 10 will then appear on the stage LIVE on Wednesday, April 19th to an audience who will have a chance to vote to choose the top 5. Winners will receive prizes valued at $100 and above. We are Assumption College.  As part of our Catholic learning community, our hope is that you grow in faith and service.  The Brantford Blessing Soup Kitchen is looking to hold a workshop to train ACS students for their Soup Kitchen.  You will receive 4 hours of community service for attending the workshop, a t-shit and inspiration.  The session will be held on a Saturday this Spring.  If you are interested in volunteering with the Blessing Center you must enroll for this workshop.  All interested students are invited to sign up using the Forms Link on the ACS Guidance D2L Page.  Sign Up Closes Friday March 31st.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team will start tryouts tonight in the Lions Den. All junior and senior students are invited to our first tryout tonight at 4:30pm, indoors. Please note that you must have indoor shoes(no cleats) and must bring a signed permission form. We look forward to seeing you!

Are you a grade 11 or 12 student in need of community service hours in order to graduate?  If so, be sure to come out to portable 13 at any point today and sign up for an after school event this Wednesday, March 23rd, in order to earn some community service hours.   We will be sorting clothing after school on Wednesday and many hands make light work! Come out and join us, while doing good work for your community, and earn those hours that you need. See Ms. Torto in portable 13 today!

Book Club and LEAP are excited to announce that Kate McLocklin herself will join us virtually here at ACS on Wednesday, March 22nd at 12pm in the lecture hall. ATTENTION GR 11 & 12 STUDENTS!  Letter/Lion Applications are now available in student services.  The Lion Award is given to senior level students in recognition of achievements and contributions to school life.  The School Letter is given to graduating students in recognition of total involvement and outstanding achievement in school life.  It is from the recipients of this award, that the principal selects the Headmaster recipient.  Please see Mrs. Dickson in Student Services to sign out an application.  APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FRIDAY MAY 5th at 3:00pm sharp with no exceptions.
