There will be an important Yearbook Club meeting TODAY after school in Room 2028. Anyone who cannot make it please check the Club's D2L page for important updates.
The GSA is meeting in Room 1035 during first and second lunch. The Rainbow Ball permission forms are now available, so be sure to pop by and pick one up if you are planning to attend.
There will be a track and field practice TODAY after school. If weather affects practice, an announcement will be made by the end of the day today.
Attention all girls interested in trying out for the fast pitch team. Please come sign up outside the female Phys ed office and get a permission slip and tryout information.
Any student with donations for Assumption Cares can hand them in TODAY in the cafeteria at both lunches.

For students who wish to be part of the Track and Field team, there will be a “qualifying meet” for both track events, and field events on Thursday after school. Any student that has signed up and does not attend will not be able to participate in the AABHN Track and Field meet next week.
The ACS Jack Chapter will be hosting a Mental Health and Wellness Community Resource Fair TODAY during both lunches. The purpose of this fair is for students to become aware of mental health and well-being resources available for children, youth and families in their community. We have 16 agencies registered to come and they will have displays and interactive booths available. We are looking forward to this awesome event!

Friday, May 5th has been commemorated as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Across the nation, we are called upon to wear red to acknowledge thousands of young women and girls who go missing each year. Students may replace their uniform or spirit wear tops with a red shirt on Friday.
An important reminder to grade 11 and 12 students: the Letter Lion Applications are due this Friday May 5th. We cannot accept late applications.

Attention all grade 12s! The time is almost here to buy your tickets for this year's prom - 'Up Where They Glow.' Beginning Sunday, May 7th until Friday May 12th ONLY, students can purchase prom tickets via cash online. NO cash will be accepted in person. Once complete, please bring your printed receipt to the back of cafeteria next week to receive your physical tickets. Tickets are $65 each. You can also pick up the physical ticket of a non-ACS guest on their behalf. We just need their contact information, the school they attend, dietary restrictions and any allergy information. Students will also be able to create their tables once they receive their tickets. Please keep in mind that there will only be ONE WEEK of ticket sales and as they sold out last year, you don't want to wait!
Are you looking for somewhere to perform? Well look no further! The annual spring concert is holding auditions for acts to perform between classes and ensemble performances. Submit your performance audition via video to Mrs. Ratelband no later than Tuesday May 9th at midnight. The spring concert is held Wednesday May 17th. Do you like to get outside and walk or run? Then the Brantford Rotary Classic run is for you! Join the ACS team this year on Sunday, June 4th to help support the Lansdowne Children Centre and the Boys and Girls Club. If you are interested in being a part of this amazing event please see Mme. Ticket sales will start on Monday May 8th – but if you are planning on bringing a guest from another school, guest forms are available in the MAIN OFFICE now! Only one guest is allowed per student, and they must be enrolled in high school to attend. Make sure you pick up this form A.S.A.P. because your guest needs to have it filled out before they can be sold a ticket.

A murder mystery event. Doesn’t that sound like something to die for? The Library Advisory Council has put together this blood-chilling event just for you! This event will take place on Wed. May 10, from 3-7 pm. There is a $5 fee which will go towards pizza and pop. Tickets will start selling next week on Wednesday May 3 at the back of the caf during both lunches. Is your goal to become a doctor? Scholarship in Memory of James Robert Lefler. This $1,000 scholarship is offered to a graduating student who has been accepted to a 4-year University Science Program. The student must have the goal of becoming a medical doctor with an interest in Oncology or Cardiology. See D2L for application.
The St. George Garden Club is pleased to call for applications for its 7th annual scholarship for post-secondary education. This one-thousand-dollar scholarship is intended to show our interest in promoting postsecondary education in horticulture, agriculture, forestry or environmental studies. We see this scholarship as an opportunity for us to help raise awareness around the issues of the environment and its stewardship. See D2L Grad Page for details.

Each band will perform individually, and the concert will conclude with all bands playing 3 pieces together in a 100 piece 'super-band'. The event will be at St. John's College TONIGHT at 6:30pm. Admission is free. All are welcome.

Just a reminder to grade 12 students that the online payment for the Grad Retreat is open until May 8th so you have one more week to sign up for this great day of outdoor fun with friends. Be sure to pick up and hand in your registration and health form to Mrs. Sheldrake also by May 8th. It's important to be aware of any food allergies and restrictions such as vegetarian and vegan so the food order can be submitted to Camp Marydale on May 9th. Hey everyone, did you know that Saturday is EARTH DAY??? One of Assumption College's favourite things to do for Earth week is to plant trees! So, for all of you helping out, this is important information for the TREE PLANTING TRIP this THURSDAY! The group that is going for the morning shift, please be ready and in the cafe for 8:45am and locate the lead teachers, Mr. Petrella and Mrs. MacDonald. Your bus leaves at 9:00 am so do not be late please. You MUST change back into uniform for your afternoon classes - NO EXCEPTIONS! The second bus will be leaving at 11:45am, and we will make an announcement to have all students released at 11:30am, so that you can change and be on the bus on time. The lead teachers are Mrs. Walsh and Ms. Torto, so look for these teachers in the cafe. Again, you MUST be in full uniform for your morning classes, as you will be given a chance to change before we leave. Remember to dress for the weather, layering is a good idea, and of course wear BOOTS! Proper footwear is mandatory - No flip flops. We go rain or shine! Teachers as this is a large trip - the list will be out as soon as we have compiled all names. Thank you all!
