Attention all CWAYC members. Our first meeting will take place TODAY in the Lecture Hall. During first lunch, the meeting will run from 11:40am to 12:00pm. During second lunch, the meeting will run from 1:00pm to 1:20pm. All those in attendance will earn one point.
Could the players on the Boys and Girls Golf Teams come to Room 1087 at the end of the day for a very brief meeting. Good luck tomorrow at the district qualifier.

The first meeting of the year for the 180 Team will be this Thursday. All those who have signed up should go to the chapel on the second floor at the beginning of your scheduled lunchtime. The meeting for students in grades 9 & 11 begins at 11:40 and the meeting for grades 10 & 12 begins at 1:00. If you didn't sign up that's okay. New members are always welcome to join the 180 Team. Bring your lunch with you and bring a friend if you would like to.
The ACE Committee will be meeting on Thursday, September 28th during first lunch in Portable 1 and second lunch in Room 1003.
Just a reminder that the Latino Club will be meeting in Room 1034 on Friday mornings from 8:15 until 8:40am. We will begin this coming Friday, September 29. Don't worry if you can't make it right at 8:15 prompt. Drop by to discuss how you're doing, listen to music and have a conversation in Portuguese, Spanish and English. There is a mandatory training session this Friday for everyone in grades 11 & 12 who signed up to be retreat leaders for the grade 9 classes. The meeting will take place on your scheduled lunchtime in the chapel. Please arrive promptly right after the bell. You will also be signing up for your retreat dates.
Hey Lions! Our Homecoming Dance is coming up on Thursday, October 12th. Ticket sales will begin next week, but NOW is the time to pick up guest forms if you plan on bringing a friend from another school. A reminder for new students: there is a limit of one guest per ACS student, and they must be enrolled in high school. Guest permission forms can be picked up in the main office and must be completed BEFORE a ticket can be purchased for them.
Attention students interested in joining the ACS swim team! If you missed us at Club Fest, there is a sign-up sheet posted outside of TLC. You do not have to be a competitive swimmer to join! Information sessions will be hosted on Thursday during first lunch and right after school in room 3007. Please see Ms. Ristov for more details.

Lions!!! Are you interested in being part of one of the biggest events in our ACS tradition and help the community at the same time. Come out to the meeting on October 2nd in the lecture hall during your lunch to learn about the We Scare Hunger Event, that is happening here on October 27th. This event is the is an awesome opportunity to help fill the cupboards at the St. Vincente de Paul, and it is a fun night here at the school where you will work with a team to collect canned food donations from all over west brant. We pick up the items, sort them and box them. You may even choose to dress up in a Halloween costume and maybe win a prize! You also will earn 10 hours of community service if you participate in the event and the meetings! So be sure to mark your calendars for junior and senior lunch time, in the lecture hall, on October 2nd and we explain the whole event to you then!

Lions, we are MORE than impressed at the turnout for auditions for ACS's musical: "Footloose"! The FINAL CAST LIST is posted outside the drama room door. Please email Mrs. Boschman if you DO NOT accept your role in the musical. The first REHEARSAL is on Monday, Sept. 25th from 3-5p.m. in the drama room. Only the cast is asked to attend.
The position of Stage Manager and Props Manager will be interviewed next week Wednesday, Sept. 27th. Sign up for an interview time on the bulletin board outside the drama room. In addition, there is a POTENTIAL list of crew members based on what you said in your form during auditions. A final process is needed before crew is chosen. Please listen for announcements in October about props creation, set painting and crew.

Sign up outside the drama room door for dance auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 19th. Lead role auditions must also signup on Wednesday, Sept. 20th for singing and acting. Factory Basketball Academy is holding tryouts for boys U15 rep team. Our next tryout is Saturday, September 16th at Cobblestone Elementary School in Paris from 2pm to 3:30pm. Attention all grade 9 students. Colour Night is TOMORROW! Today is the last day to get your tickets so don't forget! For tomorrow, you will be allowed to dress down all day in your team colour. Make sure you are wearing your wristband in order to participate in the day's activities. Please remember that outfits should adhere to school dress down guidelines. Athletic footwear and waterbottles are also recommended. Looking forward to a great event!
Tennis tryouts continue this week, weather permitting. Junior tryouts will be held Wednesday this week and Senior tryouts will continue on Thursday this week. Please come to the courts with your signed permission form, proper tennis attire and a racquet if you have one. Permission forms are available outside Room 3004.

Students are asked to bring in, non-expired, non-perishable food items before Thursday. Hygiene products will also be greatly appreciated. Students are asked to donate foods like; cereal, children's snacks, peanut butter, tuna, spam, canned meat and more, canned tomatoes, rice, crackers etc. Hygiene products can include; diapers, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps The top 3 classes will win a prize. 1st place will get breakfast, 2nd will get cookies, and 3rd will get TIMBITS!! Thank you for your donations and we look forward to a great collection!

The Boys Varsity Baseball team has been posted outside the male phys. ed office. Thank you to all those that tried out. Our first practice will be on Wednesday, September 13th at Bill Little Park from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
The ACS Golf Team tryouts were held yesterday afternoon at Fescues Edge Golf Club. It was an AWESOME afternoon for golf and a great time was had by all. The coaches would like to thank all of the students who tried out for the team! A list of those golfers who have qualified for the AABHN tournament will be posted outside room 3010 today. All qualifiers are expected to attend very brief meeting this Thursday after school in room 3014 to discuss the tournament which takes place next week.
