Morning Announcements

The following bus routes will be leaving at 12:10pm on exam days.  Routes B-725, B-730, B-733, 18, and 18A.  All other routes will be leaving at their regular dismissal time.

One final STEM event for Semester 1. Chemical Engineer Jenna Gensler is here to present TODAY. She is coming in all the way from Alberta where she works for the Dow Chemical Company and will have lots to share. Don't miss out! Dismissal times are 11:20am & 12:40pm.

Black Heritage Month is fast approaching, and anyone interested in joining any activities planned for the month are asked to meet in Room 1003 this Friday, January 20th from 3 until 3:30pm. If you would like more information, you can see Natalie Osa during the second lunch this Thursday in Room 1003. We hope to see you there.   

Need to escape the winter blues? Well look no further than the toe tapping, show stopping musical:  "Footloose". You too can be Footloose and fancy free in February! Come warm your heart with a story that will move you in more ways than one! Shows are at 7pm on Feb. 29th, March 1st and March 2nd, with an added matinee at 2pm on March 2nd. Are you in need of community service hours and want to help out our community members?   The Shellard lane Association has two opportunities to help out. You could be a Flood Hero and help maintain the pop-up hockey rinks, or you can help people who need help to shovel the snow from their driveways.  Please see the flyers outside of guidance for more information!

Today’s special in the cafeteria will be butter chicken curry served on basmati rice with a side of nanna for $6.25.  We also have butter chicken poutine for $6.75.  A reminder that the servery will be closed today at 8:45am until 9:45am for a special breakfast function.  Have an awesome day Lions.

Badminton Tryouts continue this week. Junior Tryouts will be Friday morning and Senior Tryouts will be Thursday Morning and Friday after school. If you haven't already done so, please pick up a form by the Male Phys Ed office. If you have any further questions, please ask Mr. Dyjack and Mr. Mitchell. 

Are you in Grade 9 and struggling in math? Do you need a little bit of extra help before exams? Math help will be running every day on first lunch in Room 3007 until exams begin. Come on out for some extra practice.

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT, LIONS!  It is the Jack Chapter's Post Christmas Karaoke!  The event is taking place tonight from 6-9 PM. Doors open at 5:30pm.  You can purchase tickets at lunch today for $5 at the back of the caf.  If you would still like to come and have brought cash please visit the back of the caf  to write down you name. We will be able to collect the funds at the event.  There will also be snacks, pop, and goodies to purchase from the Younger Miss Dabrowski's.  Simple Little Artsy Etsy Shop which include Grogu Tote Bags, character globes, personalized tumblrs, and more. Proceeds will go to Jack Chapter initiatives. So bring some spare change!  Come out to a fantastic and memory filled event , Lions!

To all members of the Jack Chapter: please ensure you signed the sheet regarding your attendance for karaoke night. For those attending and are committed members of the chapter, please meet the Dabrowski sisters and Mr. Wilk in the cafeteria after school at 3:05PM tonight to set up for karaoke.

Do you love to sing and show off your skills than look no further and come to the ACS Jack Chapter Post Christmas Karaoke!  The Annual Jack Chapter Christmas Karaoke will take place this Friday, January 12th from 6-9 PM. Tickets are $5 which include 2 slices of pizza. Tickets will be sold this week during both lunches! Come out and have fun!
